1 Goodbye, Farewell! It is with great sadness that we advise you that at the end of this year Bev and I will retire. I have been in the wine industry for 50yrs, and loved every minute of it. I feel privileged to have had a job that has also been a passion, and to have made the acquaintance of so many lovely people, that have not just been customers, but become friends. Therefore we wish to provide all of you this modest Goodbye, Farewell Offer as a thank you for providing us with such support over so many years. We have marked down our normal prices to say goodbye and thank you most sincerely. We begin in Champagne then off to Chablis then the Loire with Burgundy to follow and we finish in Bordeaux. We think you will all enjoy this romp through the great wine areas of La Belle France and thank you most sincerely for your great support. CHAMPAGNE: We commence our journey into Champagne in Dizy at the famous Domaine of Gaston Chiquet. Nicolas Chiquet is one of the finest winemakers in Champagne and all of his wines have been on lees for at least 6 years so they are left with fine and persistent bubbles and lovely, fragrant fruit. We then shoot up to Bouzy to visit Delphine Vesselle at her lovely vineyard that goes back eight generations. There is no average Champagne in Bouzy and Vesselle is one of the very best. A great exponent of the Champagne method, and very traditional as well as a superb maker of Rosé Champagne using the ancient Saignee method. We have also included Delphines delicious Brut Reserve which is excellent. We now find ourselves in the beautiful village of Cramant and the lovely Alice Jumel and her winemaker brother Patric. Such quality, and fabulous value. We are offering their Blanc de Blanc, Blanc de Noir and delicious Saignee Rosé. We then scoot down to nearby Avize to taste with Patrick Le Brun. We start with their Brut Selection then their delightful Rosé which is a Saignee as well. We finish our venture into Champagne at, what I think is the finest village in Champagne Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. We are at Claude Cazals with Delphine and her marvellous Champagnes Carte Or Blanc de Blancs and their Millesime Both are marvellous examples of the finest Champagne can offer.

2 SANCERRE: What a delightful region is Sancerre and the lovely wine of Thierry Merlin from the finest village in the region Bue. This wine is made as naturally as possible and is so beautifully balanced and highlights the lovely spicy, minerally quality of top class Sancerre. I can t resist my favourite saying MAREUIL: Not far from Sancerre is the delightful village of Mareuil and home to the delicious Rosés of J. Mourat. I think they are the finest Rosés in France and what great quality to price. CHABLIS: I am so much at home in Chablis as I fell in love with the village, people and their lovely wines on the very first time I visited them some 40 years ago. Although things have changed quite a bit over the last decade as many of the younger winemakers in the region have grown their grapes on rich, brown soil and not the ancient Kimmerigian clay which imparts the minerality and spicy character, full of crisp acidity which is traditional and authentic. Domaine Millet is ever so traditional from start to finish. Baudouin is a marvellous winemaker and his wines are just such great value for quality. We have on offer his beautiful 2015 Petit Chablis which emphasises the originality of true Chablis. BURGUNDY: I am home at last in Burgundy. We begin our visit in Santenay in the southern part of Bourgogne at Domaine Olivier. We then shoot up to Savigny-les-Beaune to taste the marvellous Cremants of Gilles Remy at Paul Chollet cellars. We then scoot off to Aloxe- Corton to offer the stunning red Burgundies of Maurice Chapuis.

3 We then zoom up to Nuits St Georges to taste with Thibaut Liger-Belair and his broad range of Burgundies from several top quality villages. Then we visit Domaine Rion in Vosne-Romanee to taste their Nuits St Georges Les Murgers, Vosne-Romanee Dame Juliette and their stunning Clos Vougeot. We are now heading off to visit my old friend in Morey St Denis Thierry Brouin at the famous Domaine des Lambrays. Whilst in Morey we pop into Domaine Amiot to taste Premier and Grand Cru Burgundies. We are now at the finishing line at Domaine Bart to taste Martin Barts Fixin Les Hervelets and what a beauty it is from such a fabulous village. BORDEAUX: We now set off to Bordeaux to slurp Chateau La Gontries a lovely white Bordeaux and what quality and value it is! Should you visit Bordeaux Jean-Louis Rive and his wife Nola, whom he stole from Swan Hill have fabulous accommodation at their property, where we have stayed. Well worth the visit.

4 Hello all its Bev here. I just wanted to also say my goodbyes to you. After only 20yrs in the business, I ve got to know so many of you, our lovely customers. Some I ve met face to face, some I know only via and wouldn t recognise you if I passed you in the street! It has been a great experience. The wonderful tastings and dinners from the Princess Diana event at Montsalvat, the tasting and dinner with Clos des Lambrays with wine dating back to 1919!! The visits of some of our suppliers, Jean-Marie Fourrier and Vicki, Thibault Liger- Belair and Thierry Brouin to mention just a few. I know Ross s decision to call it a day has been a tough one. Some of you already know I had a run in with breast cancer end of last year, and I think this helped to clarify our decision. Whilst looking for pictures etc. to put into this offer I came across a few historical ones of Ross so here they are:- A young wine merchant Ross Duke, in the days of Duke & Moorfield. Wines under the hammer!! Hmm the King of Burgundy? There s a striking resemblance!

7 Lambrays Dinner at The Brisbane Club Sad to have lost my old friend Jacques D Angerville one of the first people I ever bought from. I visit his grave every year when in Volnay, and sit and have a chat with him. Sometimes even with a glass of wine from the Domaine after tasting with his son Guillaume, who knows where I m heading.
