1 August 2016 ( offer) We re Tidying up the Warehouse! Well I think the title explains what s happening. We have a few odd bottles around. One of this, two of that, three of another etc. etc. plus some end of lines, and we d like to move them on, either in the packs offered below, or if not into our own cellar! We have stated how many packs of each we can make, and in some cases it is literally only 1 or 2. There are a few items from La Boutique de Bacchus in Nantoux. 2 Francis Boulard Pack of 6 Les Murgiers Blanc de Noir 70% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, with reserve wines aged in oak barrels and older reserve wines from 2008 and 2007 all great years in the Champagne region. This is a new cuvée for Francis and it certainly shows his attention to detail. Super fine mousse, lovely aromas of white fruits with red fruits and spice on the palate. 4 OK let s continue our tidy up of the warehouse and see what else we can find. Mmm what s in these boxes tucked away under here? From La Boutique de Bacchus: The cutting board above is made of glass (28cm x 20cm) and all of their coasters/bottle coasters are fabricated using the famous "Rose de Bourgogne" marble which has a rustic look. They make each one by hand in their little shop in Nantoux. These are lovely added to a glass of bubbles or still white wine, and great just poured over berry fruits, peaches etc. Also can add a bit of interest to casserole dishes. Now, more recently a really good friend who we d spent the weekend with at Lorne sent us this after our departure:- Breaking News from Lorne! Not only with sparkling wine - Cassis on ice is sensational with Schweppes tonic water and two slices of lemon. And so is the cerise, although a fair bit is required to bring out that beautiful cherry flavour. I'll have to double check with both of them tonight! I think I'm hooked.
