8 October 11, 2012 BURGUNDY 2014 Burgundy 2014 Domaines A - E Date & place of tasting in italics Growers / Wineries are in alphabetical order A year of contrasts Winter into spring happened very quickly and the warmth in March led to speedy growth. The early part of the year was very dry virtual drought until June. Bud burst started at the beginning of April and at this stage it was amongst the most precocious of vintages. Leaves started to unfold in April and all looked to be about two weeks ahead of a normal year. There were some local storms in June but the risk of mildew was low. Early June the flowering started and the unusually high temperatures accelerated the flowering but did stress the vines causing some berry drop. In many areas flowering was completed by mid-june although in Chablis and the Côte de Nuits it finished later. June 28 th hail struck the hardest hit areas being Beaune, Pommard. Volnay and Meursault. Mâconnais was also affected with Pouilly and Solutré being hit by a second storm on 4 th July. The weather changed in July and August both months cool and humid with high rainfall that delayed the development of the vine and increased the risk of mildew. Leaf thinning became the order of the day. Summer returned in September which saw light, warm northerly winds, warm days and cool nights all helping to bring the grapes to the desired level of maturity. The harvest started on 12 th September and lasted for about two weeks, the picking taking place in excellent conditions. Yields vary with the hail affected areas having a reduced quantity although the warm weather did allow the undamaged grapes to fully ripen. To sum up the year it was summer in the spring, autumn in the summer and summer in September. 9 BURGUNDY 2014 October 11, 2012 Montagny 1er Cru Les Vignes Derrière Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 The nose has breadth and depth of fruit the palate ripe melon fleshy in the middle. It is brighter at the back a citrus and apple mix but the sweet fruit the ripe melon gives fleshy richness on the finish. Domaine Bertrand Ambroise Prémeaux Nuits-Saint-Georges Beaune 1er Cru Tuvilains Tasted in the Carlton Club December 2016 The nose lacks fruit the start of the palate is light and firm. Under the red fruits bramble gives a little more depth but the acidity takes over the back palate firm the finish quite dry lacking fruit. Domaine Amiot-Servelle Chambolle-Musigny Morey-Saint-Denis Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Light fresh the nose has a fragrant charm the start of the palate bright with a mix of red fruits. There is mid richness ripe strawberry but the fresh fruits lighten the back palate and finish. Chambolle-Musigny Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Meaty and rich on the nose the fruit is sweet the mid palate has depth a mix of black fruits and red fruits. There is enough freshness to balance but the fruit at the back is sweet and ripe. Domaine de l Arlot Nuits-Saint-Georges Nuits-Saint-Georges Blanc La Gerbotte The nose has depth rich greengage the palate has layers of flavour the rich fruit underpinned by apple freshness. 10 October 11, 2012 BURGUNDY 2014 Nuits-Saint-Georges Le Petit Arlot Red fruits dominate the nose fresh the palate bright. Ripe wild strawberry gives concentrated mid richness the back palate and finish has depth ripe sweet fruit. Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Forêts St Georges Fresh on the nose the start of the palate is quite lean mineral and red fruited. There is some mid sweetness but the fresh red fruits the raspberry dominate the back palate and the finish just lacks a bit of richness. Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru les Petits Plets Tasted at the C & B tasting The Tower January 2016 Raspberry freshness on the nose the start of the palate is bright with a mix of red fruits. There is some mid sweetness a hint of black fruit the back palate lighter fresh with nice length. Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Forêts Saint-Georges Monopole Tasted at the C & B tasting The Tower January 2016 The nose has rich ripe fruit an attractive mix of red fruits. The palate starts with sweetness and breadth of flavour but under the sweetness raspberry and mulberry refresh the finish bright and long. Domaine Comte Armand Pommard Auxey Duresses 1er Cru Fragrant and fresh the nose has charm the palate a mix of fruits with black fruits tending to dominate. Depth of fruit on the mid palate it feels brighter and fresher at the back the fruit lingering on the finish. Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Épeneaux Tasted at the Lea & Sandeman tasting 67 Pall Mall January 2016 Rich and ripe on the nose the palate starts with succulent richness the fruit underpinned by firm but ripe tannins. There is bramble freshness at the back with the sweet fruit coming through and dominating the finish. Master of Wine: Derek Smedley 10

11 BURGUNDY 2014 October 11, 2012 Domaine Arnaud Aucoeur Villié-Morgon Beaujolais Villages Vieilles Vignes Tasted at the Yapp tasting Hardy s Restaurant April 2015 The nose has a mix of red fruits quite light and fragrant the palate starts light and fresh. There is slightly more depth in the middle more of a mulberry character and the finish although long and fragrant lacks depth. Vins Auvigue Charnay-lès-Mâcon Saint-Véran Moulin du Pont Tasted in Lincoln s Inn December 2015 Citrus, mineral the nose is crisp the start of the palate light and fresh. Depth in the middle sweet fruit a greengage and pear mix yet the richness is balanced by crisp apple the back palate lighter the finish bright. Mâcon Fuissé Tasted in Lilley August 2016 Ripe apple on the nose the start of the palate has depth of fruit greengage and pear. There is enough citrus to balance to lighten and refresh the back palate the finish has depth of fruit. Domaine Bachelet Monnot Puligny-Montrachet Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Tasted at the J & B tasting One George Street January 2016 The nose is bright and fresh lime and green apples the start of the palate crisp. Greengage in the middle gives a nice depth and sweetness but at the back citrus and apple refresh lighten the finish is long and fresh fruited. 12 October 11, 2012 BURGUNDY 2014 Mâcon Vergisson La Roche Tasted at the Lea & Sandeman tasting 67 Pall Mall January 2016 Sweet on the nose the palate though is fresh and bright with a mix of citrus fruits. It fills out at the back rich fruit ripe melon and finishes with sweetness and depth. Pouilly-Fuissé sur la Roche Tasted at the Lea & Sandeman tasting 67 Pall Mall January 2016 The nose is fresh the palate lean flint and mineral with green apple acidity. Rich in the middle some fleshy greengage but the back palate has lots of flint and mineral the finish is bright and crisp. Domaine Guillemette et Xavier Besson Givry Givry Le Haut Colombier Tasted in the Mansion House July 2016 Depth on the nose the greengage and melon gives richness in the middle. The sweet fruit is underpinned by apple a balancing freshness the finish has sweetness and depth of flavour. Domaine du Bicheron Péronne Mâcon-Péronne Tasted at the Vineyards Direct tasting Jesus Cambridge November 2015 Depth on the nose the palate has greengage and melon quite sweet in the middle. There is underlying apple freshness a good balance of richness and lightness with the sweet fruit giving depth on the finish. 13 BURGUNDY 2014 October 11, 2012 Tasted at Charles Taylor s September 2015 The nose is fresh the palate sweeter with the richness of ripe greengage. Grapefruit in the middle fair depth but it is lighter at the back citrusy, flinty with a crisp finish. Chablis Tasted at Charles Taylor s September 2015 Depth on the nose the palate has sweetness yet mid freshness layers of fruit a feeling of complexity. There is a good balance of citrus and greengage the fresh fruits giving lightness and brightness on the finish. Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 The nose has a citrusy freshness fragrant, white flowered and the start of the palate is light. Slightly more depth in the middle but at the back citrus dominates the finish is flinty with good length. Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 White flowers and citrus the nose is bright the start of the palate light. More of a grapefruit character in the middle but lime and lemon are there at the back the finish is flinty and fresh. Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 The nose is light, bright and fresh the palate richer with apple and grapefruit. Lighter at the back the finish is bright with a mineral flint raciness. Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Depth on the nose the start of the palate has sweet fruit rich in the middle. There is balance a flinty citrus freshness at the back the finish streamlined with good length. Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Rich and ripe on the nose the palate has white peaches depth of flavour. The underlying citrus refreshes the back palate is bright flinty with flavours that linger. Fresh in the middle an apple and citrus mix and although bright at the back the finish has sweet fruit and depth. Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux Tasted at Charles Taylor s September 2015 Sweet fruit on the nose the palate starts with melon richness lush and ripe. Underpinning citrus and flint refresh the back palate bright the finish steely and quite long. Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons Tasted at Charles Taylor s September 2015 Rich and ripe the nose has depth the start of the palate ripe melon richness. Lighter in the middle bright and citrusy the flint and citrus give crispness on the back palate and finish. Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu Tasted at Charles Taylor s September 2015 Sweet fruit on the nose depth of flavour the start of the palate is rich but there is an underlying freshness a mix of lime and grapefruit. Bright at the back but it finishes with sweet fruit. Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre Tasted at Charles Taylor s September 2015 Peachy and rich on the nose the mid palate has generosity sweet ripe fruit. Bright in the middle citrus and flint lighter at the back quite crisp yet if fills out on the finish with depth of fruit. Domaine Simon Bize Savigny-lès-Beaune Bourgogne Blanc Les Champlains Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Depth on the nose the fruit is ripe the start of the palate rich with fleshy melon. Fresher at the back precise the crunchy apple is backed by citrus but there is sweetness on the finish. Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Bourgeots Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Light and bright the nose is fresh red fruited and the start of the palate has a raspberry mulberry mix. It is richer in the middle some ripe some black fruits quite fleshy the fruit lingering on the finish. Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Grands Liards Master of Wine: Derek Smedley 14

Sweeter in the middle but at the back there are fresh fruits raspberry redcurrant and it finishes bright a touch of mineral. Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Fournaux The nose is light and fresh the palate richer and sweeter mid depth layers of fruit black fruits and red fruits. There is an underlying freshness bright at the back but it finishes with depth of flavour. Domaine Marc Antonin Blain Chassagne-Montrachet Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Breadth of fruit on the nose the start of the palate is sweet with ripe melon and fleshy greengage. Apple in the middle gives balance the back palate lighter but it fills out on the finish with depth of fruit. Domaine Daniel Bocquenet Nuits-Saint-Georges Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux St Julien Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 A mix of red fruits all ripe and sweet the palate has depth mid richness and weight. There is underlying freshness giving a lighter feel at the back and the finish is red fruited and fresh. There is some mid freshness red fruits but it fills out at the back depth of fruit with ripe wild strawberry on the finish. Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens Tasted at the Lea & Sandeman tasting 67 Pall Mall January 2016 The fruit is ripe the nose has depth and sweetness the palate has layers of rich fruit. Behind the sweetness a mix of bramble and raspberry gives freshness lighter on the back palate and the finish is bright fresh with a hint of spice. Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot Pommard Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Garenne Flint and citrus the nose is bright the start of the palate crisp. Richer in the middle hints of sweetness ripe greengage but the flinty freshness is there at the back the finish bright mineral and long. Domaine Louis Boillot Chambolle-Musigny Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles The nose is closed the start of the palate firm with obvious tannins on the mid palate. It opens up a bit at the back with a gamey richness but the finish is tight and quite short. Domaine Jean-Claude Boisset Nuits-Saint-Georges Mâcon-Ige Château London Tasted at the Liberty tasting The Oval January 2016 The nose has ripe greengage richness the start of the palate fleshy with honeydew melon but there is balance underlying citrus and apple. There is mid freshness a citrus and apple mix with the sweeter fruit showing on the back palate and finish. Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Ursulines Tasted in the Carlton Club November 2016 The fruit is ripe the nose has depth interest. Rich and ripe in the middle some black fruits some mulberry layers of flavour. There is an underlying freshness firm but ripe tannins then it fills out at the back with sweet rich fruit on the finish. Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 The nose is fresh bright the palate sweet with ripe fruit a honeyed richness. Depth in the middle layers of ripe fruit the richness underpinned by freshness but it does fill out at the back with honeyed fruit on the finish. Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Depth richness the fruit is sweet and ripe the palate fleshy with ripe melon. The sweetness is balanced by freshness crisp apple under the richness a complex mix of flavours. Depth on the back palate but the finish is lighter fresh and long. Pinot Noir la Vignee Tasted in the Carlton Club September 2017 The nose has depth the palate sweet black fruits and fleshy mulberry. Underlying red fruit balance but there is a rich mix at the back and sweet fruit on the finish. Côte de Beaune Villages Tasted in the Carlton Club December 2016 The nose is fruity the start of the palate has rich red fruits but the mid palate has high acidity fresh fruits. 18 October 11, 2012 BURGUNDY 2014 Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets Ancienne Cuvée Carnot Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Depth on the nose the palate has layers of rich ripe fruit with a strong black fruit influence. Rounded tannins the mid palate is supple the richness though balanced by freshness the finish bright with bramble and mulberry. Le Corton Grand Cru Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Black fruits dominate the nose has a rich mix of flavours and the palate is fleshy and supple. Ripe tannins add to the mid richness but there is freshness underlying mulberry and bramble. Echézeaux Grand Cru Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Concentration of flavour the nose has depth and rich ripe black fruits the palate is sweet and supple. There is an underlying freshness and the tannins are firm both back palate and finish a bit tight at the moment. Domaine Michel Bouzereau et Fils Meursault Meursault 1er Cru Blagny Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Honeyed and sweet the fruit is ripe the palate has depth rich fruit fleshy melon. Apple lightens and refreshes the mid and back palate yet the finish is rich with ripe fleshy honeyed melon. Domaine Boyer-Martenot Meursault Meursault En l Ormeau Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 The fruit feels ripe the nose has depth the start of the palate is rich and sweet. Apple underpins and refreshes the back palate lighter but it fills out on the finish with fleshy melon. Slightly lighter at the back bright and fresh, steely mineral yet it finishes with rich ripe fruit. Domaine Jean-Paul Brun Charnay Beaujolais Blanc Tasted in the Mansion House July 2016 The nose is very fragrant floral the palate starts firm with a mineral flint mix. The mid palate lacks richness light at the back the finish firm with apple and lime. Domaine Jean-Marc Burgaud Villé-Morgon Morgon Côte de Py Tasted in the Carlton Club January 2017 Ripe black fruits the nose has depth the start of the palate has the richness and fleshiness of sweet fruit. Black fruits dominate the mid palate but there is an underlying freshness with mulberry and red cherry the fruit supported by fine tannins. It feels lighter at the back fresh fruits but it finishes with richness depth of flavour. Domaine Jacques Cacheux et Fils Vosne-Romanée Vosne-Romanée Les Raviolles Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Fragrant and fresh the nose is red fruit dominated the start of the palate light. It is richer in the middle more bramble and bilberry quite sweet with depth of flavour on the finish. It feels brighter towards the back apple freshness with the ripe fruit giving richness on the finish. Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jean Tasted at the C & B tasting The Tower January 2016 Depth on the nose the palate is broad with sweet melon and ripe greengage. Apple gives freshness in the middle bright at the back but it fills out on the finish with ripe greengage richness. Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru les Folatières Tasted at the C & B tasting The Tower January 2016 The nose has mineral freshness the palate is bright with a citrus mineral mix. There is mid sweetness but the fresh fruits the citrus and apple dominate the finish is racy and long. Domaine Jacques Carillon Puligny-Montrachet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Greengage on the nose depth of fruit the start of the palate is rich and ripe the mid palate sweet with breadth of flavour. Brighter at the back there is a balancing freshness yet sweeter on the finish depth and richness. Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Vosne-Romanée Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Thorey The nose has a mix of fruits light and bright the palate though richer depth and sweetness the red fruits backed by bramble and black cherry. 21 BURGUNDY 2014 October 11, 2012 Château de Chamirey Mercurey Mercurey 1er Cru Les Ruelles Tasted at the Charles Taylor tasting Travellers Club January 2016 Bramble and bilberry the nose is fresh and bright the start of the palate light. There is more depth in the middle sweet ripe black fruit but at the back the tannins show and tend to hold back the fruit. Domaine Chandon de Briailles Savigny-lès-Beaune Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Île de Vergelesses The mix of red fruits is fresh the nose fragrant the start of the palate bright. There is mid richness some ripe strawberry the back palate sweet and there is fair depth of fruit on the finish. Corton Bressandes Grand Cru The nose has rich ripe black fruits and the palate has brooding depth. The tannins are ripe the mid palate fleshy and supple the back palate has generosity yet there is an aromatic freshness the finish has finesse. The start of the palate has richness and depth the fruit supported by ripe tannins. It feels fresher at the back lighter but it does fill out on the finish depth of flavour. Chorey-lès-Beaune Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 Black fruits appear to dominate the nose has depth the start of the palate a bramble bilberry mix. Tight in the middle firm tannins but it does open up at the back sweet fruit the finish though lighter fresher and a bit short. Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves Tasted at the Clarion tasting Middle Temple January 2016 The nose is light and bright with red fruits to the fore. There is a richer feel on the mid palate ripe mulberry and some red cherry and although the back palate has depth of fruit the finish is light and fresh. Domaine Coche-Bizouard Meursault Meursault Les Chevalières Tasted in the Carlton Club July 2016 The wines from Meursault have many different faces and this is the honeyed style the nose has depth of flavour the palate ripe melon and greengage. There is balance enough apple crispness to refresh and lift the fruit but it fills out at the back with depth of fruit on the finish. Bourgogne Pinot Noir Tasted in the Carlton Club November 2016 Sweet ripe fruit the nose has depth the palate a mix of ripe black fruits. Domaine Marc Colin Chassagne-Montrachet Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Sweet and ripe on the nose the palate has depth of flavour rich fruit ripe melon and peach. Brighter at the back mineral freshness that lifts the flavours the finish is long a racy. Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sur Le Sentier du Clou Acacia and white flowers the nose is fragrant yet the palate starts with richness and depth the mid palate is fleshy and ripe fruited. The sweetness is balanced by freshness a citrus and apple mix bright and fresh at the back crisp crunchy apple but the finish has an oaky richness. Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Demoiselles Flinty freshness the nose is bright the palate light with lemon rind. The mid palate has depth sweet ripe fruit but at the back flint and mineral give freshness the finish has persistent length. Domaine Collovray et Terrier Davaye Domaine des Deux Roches Bourgogne Tradition Tasted in the Carlton Club March 2016 The nose is very firm the start of the palate citrusy and tight. Richer in the middle a mix of greengage and melon and although fuller at the back the finish is light and bright with lime and lemon freshness. En Colombe Chablis Chablis Tasted in Lilley January 2016 The nose has a mix of sweetness and freshness the palate starts peachy and rich with mid sweetness. Colombier s wine is typical with its gun smoke nose, its greengage middle yet underlying citrus and mineral. Richer at the back but the finish is lean, flinty with lingering flavours. Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot Vosne-Romanée Chambolle-Musigny Derriere la Grange Tasted at the Lea & Sandeman tasting 67 Pall Mall January 2016 Bramble freshness the nose has a mix of fragrances the start of the palate light. The black fruits in the middle are ripe and sweet the back palate supple and fleshy and the finish gamey and rich. Domaine Cordier Fuissé Bourgogne Blanc Vieilles Vignes Tasted in the Carlton Club March 2016 There is not a lot of fruit on the nose the palate starts very fresh with high citric acidity. Under the fresh fruit there is sweetness the mid palate dominated by oak a lack of real balance with hard acidity tending to shorten the finish. Domaine de Courcel Pommard Pommard 1er Cru Grand Clos des Epenots Fleshy and ripe sweet fruit gives richness on the nose and suppleness on the palate. Sweet and ripe in the middle fine integrated tannins the back palate is light with bramble and mulberry yet it fills out on the finish fruity and sweet. More depth in the middle still red fruited but sweeter the ripe fruit gives fleshy richness on the finish. Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos Rich and ripe on the nose the palate has sweet fruit pineapple richness. Under the sweet fruit lime and apple refresh the back palate bright yet the finish is sweeter. Chablis Grand Cru Grenouille Depth on the nose the palate though starts light bright with citric freshness. The fruit in the middle is sweet and ripe pineapple and tropical fruit but citrus and flint dominates the back palate and gives firmness on the finish. Maison Drouhin Beaune Chablis Réserve de Vaudon Crisp and flinty on the nose the palate is light and fresh a racy mix of mineral and citrus. There is a hint of sweetness in the middle but the fresh fruit and flint gives a lighter fresh feel on the finish. Chablis 1er Cru Sécher Greengage richness on the start of the palate the nose has depth of fruit. There is balance with citrus and apple underpinning the freshness giving a racy brightness on the finish. Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons The nose has depth of fruit the start of the palate richness a greengage and melon mix. Fresh in the middle apple and mineral layers of flavour with the fresh fruit the flint giving brightness on the finish. Mâcon-Lugny Light and bright on the nose the start of the palate has citrus and apple freshness. There is some mid sweetness ripe fruit but it is the freshness that brightens the back palate and finish. Mâcon-Bussières Les Clos The fruit is ripe the nose has depth and sweetness the start of the palate rich. Fresh in the middle a mix of citrus fruits and although at the back there is some sweet fruit the finish is bright and fresh fruited. Saint-Véran Tasted in the Carlton Club October 2017 The nose has sweetness the start of the palate greengage richness. Light and fresh in the middle crisp apple and although quite light and flinty at the back the finish has sweet fruit. Pouilly-Vinzelles Flinty on the nose the start of the palate is bright with a mix of citrus fruits. A hint of mid sweetness with flint and mineral at the back the finish is sleek and long. The fleshy melon on the mid palate is underpinned by apple, fresher at the back an attractive mix of flavours. The richness suits even the strongest flavoured fish just the wine for salmon and if you enjoy white with meat certainly worth a try. Meursault The fruit on the nose is fresh the start of the palate light but there is a richer feel in the middle some ripe melon and a hint of honey. Apple and citrus come though at the back the finish long and fresh fruited. Meursault 1er Cru La Pièce Sous Le Bois Honeyed sweet the fruit is ripe the nose has depth and the palate is fleshy with ripe melon. Behind the sweet fruit mineral and apple refresh the back palate lighter the finish though rich ripe and fleshy. Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières Ripe fruit rich fruit the nose has a honeyed depth the start of the palate is fleshy with sweet honeydew melon. Depth of fruit the rich mix of flavours is underpinned by citrus and apple a lovely balance. Fresh at the back the finish is sweeter with flavours that linger. Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières The nose has honeyed richness the palate has depth of fruit fleshy melon and ripe greengage. There is balance crisp apple under the sweet fruit mid freshness the back palate has depth sweetness ripe rich flavours. Puligny-Montrachet Bright and mineral on the nose the start of the palate has apple and citrus freshness. There is more depth and sweetness in the middle ripe fruit but under this the layers of flint and apple refresh and brighten the finish. Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Marquis de Laguiche The nose has a complex mix of flavours the palate starts with depth of fruit sweetness but the mid palate is fresher apple and lime. Depth of fruit at the back yet the finish is light and fresh. Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches The nose is fresh the start of the palate light with a mix of citrus fruits. Ripe melon enriches the mid palate sweet fruit fleshy with depth of flavour. There is balance freshness apple at the back and the finish is bright and quite light. Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Bright on the nose the start of the palate is fresh citrusy and mineral. Ripe greengage gives mid richness the sweet fruit backed by freshness a complex mix of flavours. Although fleshy and rich at the back the finish is lighter with apple freshness. Montrachet Grand Cru Marquis de Laguiche The fruit feels ripe the nose has depth ripe greengage the palate has ripe melon succulent and fleshy. Under the sweet fruit citrus and apple refresh layers of flavour complexity with flint and mineral giving a racy sleekness to the back palate the finish though has depth rich ripe fruit. There is an underlying freshness but the sweet fruit is there at the back depth on the finish. Fleurie Hospices de Belleville Fleshy and rich on the nose the palate has depth and sweetness with a mix of ripe red and black fruits. There is mid acidity lighter at the back but the sweet fruit comes through giving richness and depth on the finish. Rully Rouge Light and fragrant the nose has mix of red fruits the palate starts bright and fresh. Ripe strawberry gives a richer feel on the mid palate but at the back the redcurrant and raspberry dominate the finish is fresh and fruity.
