We specialize in setting up first time alpaca owners. With no known allergies, alpaca clothing is commonly said to be the finest clothing product known. We welcome you to see for yourself. Go through the town of, and then go approximately 2 miles. Turn right on St. Louis Road (Rt. 611) and go 4.8 miles to farm on the left. 3 Ayrshire Farm Trappe Road, Upperville (540) An 800-acre certified organic and humane farm dating back to Ayrshire Farm is committed to traditional farming values and specializes in rare and endangered livestock breeds and heirloom fruits and vegetables. Ayrshire Farm products are available for purchase at the Home Farm Store in and served at Hunter s Head Tavern in Upperville. Directions: From, follow Rt. 50W through Upperville. Turn Right on Tr. 619/Trappe Rd. Go 1.4 miles just past the entrance of Ayrshire Farm. On the right will be parking in the front pasture. Visit the first family-owned micro-distillery in Loudoun since before Prohibition. See this working distillery in production, including a 400-liter custom-made Kothe still and condenser. Tours highlight the process of making distilled spirits, including fermentation, distillation, aging and bottling. High quality organic spirits and liqueurs are our passion. Tour the working garden that includes fresh herbs and heirloom vegetables along with two recently restored barns. Clyde s Willow Creek Farm s menus incorporate this homegrown produce into many of the dishes being served at this classic American inn. Start herbs or heirloom seeds to take home or watch a demonstration on making seedling pots using a pot maker tool and recycled newspapers. Directions: From Rt. 7 take the Claiborne Parkway exit toward Ashburn, go 4.5 miles, turn right onto Broadlands Blvd., go 1 4 mile to Clyde s on the right.
