AREA ADMNISTRATOR What a month it has been for our Group! First we had the visit and Public Lecture by Lady Teviot. More than 40 people were present in the Flagstaff Hill Theatre on the Wednesday evening to hear Lady Teviot speak about various aspects of English research. Her long and "hands on" experience gave her addresses a unique flavour. Aided by Margaret Greenwood, her travelling companion from Queensland, the book shop also did a busy trade, All in all, it was a very worthwhile experience. A couple of days later, we gathered at the Mahogany Ship Restaurant to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the foundation of the Warrnambool Group at a meeting held at the Warrnambool City Library on Thursday 14 August, While the attendance of24 was perhaps disappointing, those who were present had a most enjoyable evening. It was a pleasure to have Peter & Liz Prideaux with us, representing AlGS Council and President Don Grant The Anniversary Cake, made and decorated b-y Robin Gray, was a highlight, while the special balloons from Aurelin Giles added to the celebratory atmosphere. Many thanks to all who contributed in any way to the success of the two activities.
