AREA ADMINISTRATOR Welcome to the November double issue - both November & December HISTORICALS from The Warrnambool Standard for 1900 and Regulars will recall that this is because we do not publish a newsletter in December. I trust that you will find something of interest in the many vignettes presented for us by Betty Beavis. You are advised (or reminded) that we don't publish in January either, so February will be another double issue, with notes for the two months. Special notice for Members, especially locals: to celebrate its 25th Anniversary, Flagstaff Hill will present a Special Open Day on Sunday 10 December. It will be a Free of Charge day, and we have been asked to ensure that the library is open from a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Given the number expected to attend, we will need to have several people on duty at all times. If you can help, please let me know, so that a roster can be prepared. I have now finished transcribing the first 1000 students to attend Warrnambool High School, taking us up to part way through This information will be available, with indexes, in the library in the new year.
