The host hotel is located at th Ave W., Lynnwood WA (Sadly or thank goodness, it does not require a ferryboat ride from SeaTac airport) Guests can immediately begin calling in their reservations to (425) or (800) and reserving their rooms under the Code THE WAOUM L.O.S.N.A. Book early, your credit card is not charged until check-in and cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours prior to check-in date. Please see page 7 for more hotel information. All guests need to make their reservations no later than August 31, After this date, the hotel cannot guarantee availability or provide the discounted rate. We invite you to arrive early and enjoy the tours we have planned. We have chosen some of our favorite tours and events to share the beautiful fall weather of northwest Washington. We also look forward to spending extra time with our visitors in this delightful, totally renovated hotel. The hotel is also offering a Special After-Glow option. There are no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, so they are offering a special menu (at costs from $15-$25 per meal) and the use of the ballroom for Courts or groups that would enjoy spending time together after the Exhibition Drills. 12 Come early and enjoy some fun tours! 1. Wednesday, September 19 bus leaves 8:00 AM returns 6:00 PM Leavenworth, is a little Bavarian village in our Cascade mountains. Enjoy a beautiful trip thru the mountains enjoying the fall colors on the 2.5 hour bus trip to the village. You will be on your own to explore and shop and find lunch in one of the many Bavarian themed restaurants in town. The timing of our trip is a little early for their Octoberfest festival but that won t stop you from a fun experience and finding unique gifts, clothing and food. $55.00 per person 2. Wednesday, September 19 bus leaves 8:00 AM returns 6:00 PM This bus will go North to the small town of LaConner, an old harbor town in the middle of the areas famous tulip festival held in April each year. You will be given time to explore the art and craft museums, art galleries, unique retail shops and coffee shops. Then you proceed south to the Tulalip Resort and the outlet mall. Enjoy a late lunch in one of the many restaurants, and play a little or shop the outlet mall, which is only a short distance from the resort. $50.00 per person 3. Thursday, September 20 bus leaves 8 AM, Returns by 3 PM Chihuly Gardens and Space Needle. Tour the beautiful blown glass works of Dale Chihuly and the glass garden with a guide. Bring your camera! This is the most comprehensive collection of his work to date. Exhibits in eight galleries demonstrate how the artist pushed the boundaries of glass as an art medium in concept, execution and presentation. Next door is the Space Needle, newly renovated including a new glass floor! Lunch on own Center. $80.00 pp includes tickets and guide fees, not lunch. 4. Thursday, September 20 bus leaves 8 AM, Returns by 3 PM Pike Place Market Tour the market with Lady Shirley Fjoslien sharing some history of the market. You will have time to shop and enjoy the flying fish and all the arts and crafts and even see the original Starbucks. Thursday, September 20 two departures 2 PM and 3 PM Ferry Ride and Dinner Nile van will transport you to the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry dock for the 30 min (each way) ferry ride, returning to Edmonds for the early bird 3 course dinner at Arnies Restaurant between 4pm-6pm. $50 per person 6. Friday, September 21 Men's Museum of Flight Tour Van leaves 9:00 AM Gentlemen, we have a great day planned for you! While the ladies are at their meeting you can be visiting Seattle s Museum of Flight. Enjoy an incredible tour of the largest independent nonprofit air and space museum in the world. Your guided tour includes aircraft, spacecraft, exhibits, objects and artifacts. You can walk through the first presidential jet Air Force 1, the first super-sonic airliner the Concorde, the newest airliner in passenger service Boeing s 787 and so much more.
