1 AUGUST MAY HOWICK CLUB Inc. PO Box 3367 Howick, Auckland Phone PRESIDENT S CORNER Hopefully the kiddies have enjoyed the school holiday events at the Club. The Fun Colour Day was particularly successful with many mums, dads, grannies and granddads enjoying watching their little ones having fun with colour. Coming up at the end of July is The Feelers show on the 27th, and on the 29th the Parker v Whyte Boxing fight will be on the big screens. The Club will be open early from 5am and a buffet breakfast will be available. In August we have the Best of British show on the 3rd, the Ladies section is putting on a Housie Charity Fundraiser on the 16th, and another Punters Day is planned for 25th. Also in August, the Snooker section is proud to again be hosting the Clubs New Zealand North Island Snooker Pairs over the weekend of August. Our members Lance Ford and Martin Jones will be defending the title. There will be some great players and matches to watch. We thank our members and guests in advance for their understanding and co-operation during this prestigious event. Tracey Paskell President XIV ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS If you haven t yet paid your subscription, don t forget that payment must be received at this office no later than TUESDAY 31 July. You can pay on our website by direct credit to our bank account number or at reception. IMPORTANT: Please ensure you include your membership number on all modes of payment. MEMBERS CARDS Please note we no longer post cards out to members in the Greater Auckland area. Your card is available to pick up from reception when you next visit us. SOCIAL & YOUTH MEMBERSHIPS This is a great way for partners and children of existing full members to utilize the Clubs facilities at their leisure. Social members shall be legally married spouses and or the common law spouses of existing Ordinary or Life Members. Social members have the same rights as a full member with the exclusion of:- Social Members will have no voting rights, will not be eligible to stand for Executive Committee and will not be allowed to attend any AGM or Extra-Ordinary General Meeting, and they will have no rights to represent the Club in competitions. Youth members shall be sons or daughters of full members and must be between the age of their eighteenth and twenty fourth birthdays. After the age of 24 years they may apply for Full Membership as the Youth membership will terminate. Youth Members shall have the same entitlements as Social Members. To enjoy our facilities, Social & Youth member subscriptions are only $50 per year. Application forms are available from reception. SIGNING IN YOUR GUESTS It is a requirement of the District Licencing Agency that all visitors over the age of 1 years must be signed in and must produce their visitors chit on request.
