7 THE Shangri-La Express The Christmas Log by Pastry Chef Michaël Bartocetti For the end-of-year celebrations, Michaël Bartocetti, Pastry Chef at Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, immersed himself into his childhood memories and imagined The Shangri-La Express, a yule log in tribute to an object that was particularly dear to him: the toy train. Evoking the magic of Christmas and shared family moments, it reminds him of the wooden train his grandfather had given his father, which then became a present to him. Astoundingly realistic, The Shangri-La Express will enchant children and adults with its absolute delicacy. This toy-log offers a delicious mixture of textures and flavours. Chocolate mousse infused with light and airy lemongrass and candied banana with vanilla/lime impart sweetness and unctuousness. A peanut crisp with fleur de sel and a chocolate biscuit base with no flour on dark chocolate play the intensity card. Garnished with a peanut praline and covered in white chocolate, the chimney of the little train is the delicate touch by excellence. Its waggon transports chocolate/lime truffles, just as a Christmas treat To be tasted indulgently when the clock strikes midnight! 9 For the end-of-year festivities, our French and South-East Asian restaurant, La Bauhinia, welcomes you in a warm atmosphere, under its magnificent glass cupola. Dinners A delicious dinner with festive flavours will be suggested every evening from 15 th to 30 th December (except 24 th December evening). On 24 th December, our Chef Christophe Moret will delight you thanks to the beautiful dinner of Christmas Eve. Last but not least, you can celebrate New Year s Eve with a menu rich in colours to the rhythm of a jazz quartet on 31 st December. Brunches Succulent brunches will also be proposed for a festive time with family or friends. Every Sunday from 2 nd to 30 th December : 128 euros per person. Two exceptional brunches will tickle your taste-buds on 25 th December at 148 euros and on 1 st January at 158 euros per person, excluding beverages. Christmas Tea Time Indulge with the Christmas Tea Time, a delicate range of pastries full of flavor created by our Pastry Chef, Michaël Bartocetti, on the occasion of the festive period.
