6 THE MASTERCHEF S MASTERPIECE What the Mona Lisa is to Da Vinci, the Peking duck is to Chef David Wang. 7 THE POP ART PHENOMENON Chef Hitesh Pant s new burger menu at The Polo Club explores the relationship between artistic expression, pop culture and generally going against the norm. From pulled barbecued pork and spiced lamb patties to Monterey Jack stuffed beef sliders, this one is a burger lover s dream come true. Echoing a Warhol like skill for expertly treading uncharted waters, even Hitesh s wildest experiments hit the mark with precision. 8 THE CINNAMON CLUB, LONDON A special, one-night-only event BENGALURU Chef Nimisha Sarah Verghese had the rare privilege of a month-long apprenticeship under the renowned Chef Vikas Singh of The Cinnamon Club, acclaimed as the original crucible of modern Indian cuisine in London. She creates a dining experience inspired by the spirit of The Cinnamon Club s menu. An interplay of art and taste, this striking rendition radiates creativity and paints the perfect tribute from a student to her master. 9 THE ART OF REVIVAL Indian miniatures are celebrated the world over for their clever play of colours and detailing. While Indian miniature painting existed in various forms since the 9 th century, it wasn t until the Mughal Empire that the genre experienced a grand revival. Rivaayat is The Oberoi s own effort of bringing back ancient and forgotten Indian culinary traditions. With Rivaayat-e-Patiala, Chef Parvinder Bali recreates a treasure trove of traditional and rare recipes from the kitchens of the royal family of Patiala. Unique yet distinctly Punjabi, these delicacies are curated from a 400-year-old book which Chef Bali received from Captain Amarinder Singh, a direct descendant of the Maharajah of Patiala.
