2 New Look Student Conferences A group of JCMS teachers has worked diligently over the past year to get our school ready to implement studentled conferences for the school year. Student-led conferences, or SLCs, put the onus on the student to engage more in their learning and are a great opportunity for them to share what they are doing in school directly with their parents and guardians. Some of the differences include a move toward students establishing personalized learning goals with the help of their teachers, conference times being scheduled to maximize student and parent/guardian participation, and a celebration of learning through a portfolio conference at the end of the year. More information will be coming home in early ctober. The format for conferences this year is as follows: ctober 24 th & 29 th Goal-setting conferences through advisory JCMS (teachers will be calling home to set these up personally) January 9 th Traditional arena Warm Springs (teachers will be available for you to stop by and meet them) March 6 th Traditional arena JCMS (teachers will be available for you to stop by and meet them) May 28 th & 29 th Portfolio conferences through advisory JCMS (teachers will be calling home to set these up personally) If you have any questions about this process, please contact assistant principal Trevor Flaherty at the school "Nueva Mirada" Conferencias de Estudiantes Un grupo de profesores en JCMS ha trabajado diligentemente en el último año para que nuestra escuela puede poner en práctica las conferencias dirigidas por los estudiantes para el año escolar Conferencias dirigidas por los estudiantes, o SLC, ponen la responsabilidad en el estudiante a participar más en su aprendizaje y son una gran oportunidad para que compartan lo que están haciendo en la escuela directamente con sus padres y tutores.

We will also be assisting individuals, families and small businesses in purchasing coverage. Cover regon is a WEB site which assists individuals, families and small businesses in obtaining health coverage. Clients can enter family information and then compare available plans in a side by side, apples to apples format making understanding different plans easier than ever before. Financial aid is also available to families and businesses in addition to a great expansion of the regon Health Plan.
