4 Announcing Our 3rd Annual Storybook Pumpkin Patch in the school library What will your pumpkin look like? The purpose of this activity is to celebrate reading and have fun. This is meant to be a child or family activity. Teachers and classes may submit entries as well. Participation is optional. Pumpkins must represent a favorite children s book character. Real or artificial pumpkins and gourds may be used. You may use more than one on your project. Absolutely no carved pumpkins, or holes poked in pumpkins. To decorate you may use acrylic paint, markers, glue, paper, fabrics, or other craft items on your pumpkin. Hats, glasses or any needed items can be used for decorating. Artificial pumpkins may also be used. You may include clothing, accessories, scenery and props with your pumpkin. Each entry is not to exceed 30 inches. Let your creativity soar! Have fun! Pumpkins can be dropped off in the Storybook Pumpkin Patch (library) Monday thru Thursday, October 17th through October 20th before or after school up until 3:00 pm. They can also be dropped off Monday, October 24th before school. Pumpkins must be picked up Thursday, Oct. 27th or Friday, Oct. 28th before school, or after school by 3:00 p.m., so you may enjoy them for the holiday. Real pumpkins not picked up by Friday at 3:00, will be disposed of. For each entry, please complete the attached form. 7 Fall Contest: We are running a contest to reward classrooms that collect the most Box Tops. All classes will receive a prize, but the best prizes will go to the classes with the highest totals. The top 3 classes will get the grand prize, a pizza party!
