1 WINE LIST This wine list celebrates one of Australia s largest and most diverse geographical wine regions the Adelaide Hills known for its approachable, vibrant, cool climate wines. Duncan Vent has curated this unique list for UKARIA Cultural Centre in alignment with our core values and beliefs to inspire and to be creative. Wines from Ngeringa Vineyards frame a diverse array of intriguing and affordable wines from smaller producers, offering a very special expression of the region s distinctive terroir. Delicate citrus notes with a creamy, nutty, marzipan texture. 75 Rosé 2015 Ngeringa Rosé Syrah Rosé of serious intent. Rhubarb, raspberry and musk like lift. Silky and layered, finishing dry with a cherry pit like grip. 45

3 White 2005 Kanta Riesling by Egon Müller (Balhannah) Back vintage release of the first Riesling made under the Kanta label. Lifted aromatics of lavender, nettle and melon with rich honeysuckle and spice Hahndorf Hill Winery GRU Grüner Veltliner (Hahndorf) Sleek Grüner Veltliner with lifted perfume of nectarine, citrus and celery. Lemon and grapefruit driven palate that is textured, layered and lightly spiced with white pepper and radish. Finishes dry with crunchy acidity The Other Wine Co. Pinot Gris (Charleston) Ultra Crisp Pinot Gris from Charleston. Boasting floral aromatics with Nashi pear, lemon and grapefruit pith Sam Scott La Prova Fiano (Kersbrook) Honeydew Melon and apple layered with almond kernel and dried herb. Tightly shaped Fiano with hallmark chalky minerality Henschke Coralinga Sauvignon Blanc (Lenswood) Definitive Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc. Great length Tapanappa Tiers 1.5M Chardonnay This unique vineyard selection of the Tiers site is planted at 1.5 metre spacing to produce a richer and more fuller flavoured Chardonnay. 4 Red 2016 Murdoch Hills Artisan The Surrey Pinot Meunier (Piccadilly Valley / Oakbank) Polished expression of Pinot Meunier from two high elevation sites in the Adelaide Hills. Peppery, herbaceous and bright with a red cherry fruit focus. Orange peel and herbal notes over black current and plum Ochota Barrels A Forest Pinot Noir (Ashton Hills / Carey Gully / Scary Gully) Plush red and black cherry fruit in the signature glossy, spicy Ochota style. Multi site whole bunch Pinot Noir from the Hills with an alluring textural quality Spider Bill Pinot Noir Fragrant, lightly framed Pinot Noir with cherries, anise, crushed dried spice and herb. Dangerously quaffable and lively. Well structured La Linea Mencia (Kersbrook / Gumeracha) From the only Mencia block in the Adelaide Hills. Maraschino cherry, cranberry, rhubarb and red currents in an inviting medium bodied soft summer drinking mould Eccolo Sangiovese (Balhannah) A generous local version of the Tuscan classic Sangiovese. Red cherry, black cherry and violets with earthy characters. Juicy with plumy fruits and a wonderful savoury finish Il Dittico Sangiovese Cabernet (Charleston/Woodside) Medium bodied with good complexity. Lifted bouquet of violets, raspberries, prunes and spice. Italianate tannins, dry and firm. A modern Sangiovese blend Arrivo Nebbiolo (Gumeracha) Nebbiolo devotees craft an elegant and lively wine in a style reminiscent of Piedmonte s Barbaresco, with red berry and hints of fennel. Liquorice and rose petal notes develop in the glass as leather, spice and tobacco build in intensity. 79

5 2015 BK Wines Syrah Nouveau (Lobethal) Sage, rosemary and juniper spice with juicy mixed berry compote, cured meat and earthy beetroot notes. Unashamedly fruit forward. This wine comes with its own instructions: you re going to want to drink me immediately nouveau style Alan & Vietch Cabernet Sauvignon (Charleston) Silky cool climate Cabernet. Cherries, blackcurrant, plum and spice with finely integrated tannis and a menthol lift Ngeringa Syrah Lifted aromas of violets, anise and cassis with the defining blueberry fruit profile of the Iluma Ngeringa vineyard. Elegantly structured with velvety tannins and smacks of white pepper. 85 Dessert 2013 Longview Epitome Late Harvest Riesling 375ml (Macclesfield) Golden delicious apple, citrus and orange blossom. The palate has depth of flavour showing dried apricot, candied orange and fig. Rich and luscious. 37
