9 Civil Ceremonies When you have chosen the venue for your ceremony, you need to provisionally book the Registration Officers and the venue at the same time. Please note the time you book is the time that the ceremony will start. Registration Officers will arrive approximately half an hour prior to the ceremony start time. There is a non-refundable deposit payable direct to the registrars at the time of booking. Any amendments you then wish to make will be at the charge of The outstanding balance for the ceremony is due no later than 12 weeks prior to the ceremony day. Once you have made the provisional booking with your venue and Registration Officers you will both need to give legal notice. You should do this at your local register office in the district where you live. The Register Office will advise you of this procedure when you make your provisional booking. After you have both given your legal notices you will receive a pack from the Registry office which will help you plan and personalise your ceremony at home in your own time. It will contain a booklet with suggested vows and readings. Any chosen readings, vows and music not listed in the booklet must be sent to the Register Office for approval. The pack will contain a sheet to complete with your chosen options and return to us no later than two weeks prior to your ceremony. Compliance with rights of copyright for music and readings is the responsibility of yourselves and the venue. Please pay particular attention to the maximum occupancy figure for the room you are going to have your ceremony in. The maximum figure includes every individual in the room during the ceremony ie. two Registration Officers, couple, photographers, videographers, musicians etc. If this number is exceeded the Registration Officers on the day of your ceremony will be forced to ask some guests to vacate the room.

10 Civil Ceremonies Cont. Warwickshire has a strict photography policy which they ask for you to show to your photographer. A copy of this will be included in the pack but extra copies can be obtained from the Register Office. Please ensure that you and your guests are on time. Your ceremony forms part of a programme of ceremonies on the day and the Registration Officers may have to leave before conducting your ceremony if you are not punctual.
