In this funny, irreverent, and highly theatrical story, Jacob Marley is chained and shackled after death, condemned to a hellish eternity. After agreeing to redeem his unredeemable partner Ebenezer Scrooge, Marley begins a journey of laughter, terror, and renewal, during which Scrooge's heart is indeed opened but not before Marley discovers his own. 3 Directions and Parking City Lights Theater Company is conveniently located at 529 South Second Street, San Jose, between William Street and Reed Streets. We are across the street from Notre Dame High School and next door to Emile's French Restaurant. Our phone number is Directions: From San Francisco/ North of San Jose Take Highway 280 south. Take the Seventh Street exit, staying in the right hand lane to merge onto E. Virginia St. Continue to Third Street and turn right. Take Third Street under the overpass and up two more intersections to William Street, and turn left onto William. Go one block on William to Second Street and turn left. City Lights is the third building on the right; you will see our lighted marquee. Secure parking is available directly across the street from the theatre on your left. From Oakland/ East Bay Take Highway 880 south to Highway 280 South. Take the Seventh Street exit, staying in the right hand lane to merge onto E. Virginia St. Continue to Third Street and turn right. Take Third Street under the overpass and up two more intersections to William Street, and turn left onto William. Go one block on William to Second Street and turn left. From Gilroy/ South of San Jose Take Highway 101 North to San Jose to Highway 280 North. Take the Seventh Street exit. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right on 7th Street. Follow 7th Street to the third light, William Street, and turn left onto William. Follow William 5 blocks until you come to 2nd Street and turn left on 2nd. City Lights is the 3rd building on the right; you will see our lighted marquee. Secure parking is available directly across the street from the theatre on your left. Parking: City Lights offers our patrons exclusive use of a secured parking lot directly across the street from the theatre, courtesy of our neighbors at Notre Dame High School, for $5 for the evening. This lot is available to City Lights patrons starting at 45 minutes before show time, is locked during the performance, and is unlocked for 15 minutes after the performance ends. Please note that if you park in this lot, and plan to visit another establishment after the show, you must move your car. Please do not park in the lot adjacent to us, which is for the use of Emile's Restaurant patrons only. Street parking (free after 6pm and on weekends) and City-operated lots are also available.
