1 El Semanal 21 de septiembre, 2012 Noticias de la semana: Lunch: Lunch forms were sent home in backpacks on Sept. 19 th, and should be returned with payment on Sept. 24 th. The order form has been updated so you may now order more than one milk. Please note you will be billed at the end of the month if your child requests additional milk, or if your child does not bring a home lunch and is provided a school lunch. If for some reason you didn t receive a lunch form, you can download one at holahoboken.org under forms & downloads. Please make a copy of the completed form for your records. Thank you for your cooperation! Enrichment and Aftercare: On Sept.19 th, your child should have received their placements for enrichment. Full payment is due Sept. 24 th. There are still spots available in many classes. Aftercare monthly payments are due on Sept. 25 th. Late payments will incur a $25 fee. Sept. 25 th is also the last day to get a 10% discount for Aftercare Yearly Enrollment. In addition, Margarita has requested board games for aftercare. If you have any gently used or new games that you would like to donate, drop them off with Elsa in the front office. Please contact Margarita Garcia at mgarcia@holahoboken.org if you have any additional questions about enrichment or aftercare. Spirit Week and Hispanic Heritage Month: Last spring the students of HoLa nominated Coco the Toucan to be their school mascot. Coco is helping encourage children with the Positive Behavior System (PBS) and will be a part of the 1 st Annual HoLa Spirit Week, beginning Oct. 1 st. The Spirit Week schedule is attached. Spirit Week will also coincide with Hispanic Heritage Month, which the teachers will be implementing in their curriculum. Please stay tuned for more information as we get closer to these exciting events! Go, Dog. Go!: On Sept. 27 th, all HoLa students will be walking to Mile Square Theatre for a special preview of MST s latest production, Go Dog Go! This delightful mix of movement, music, and dogs celebrates P.D. Eastman s classic book. For more information, go to Dine InDeed: Dine Indeed is happy to report that Wicked Wolf Tavern raised $1,415 this summer with a 1/3 of the proceeds going to fund future building renovations at The Boys and Girls Club. Anthony David s and two more restaurants are slated to join in the next few weeks. Please visit to learn more about Dine InDeed (and kindly like the page as well). If you would like to help by recruiting other restaurants please contact HoLa parent David Celiberti at dacnys@aol.com. PTO forms: Minutes from the Sept. 12 th, PTO meeting are attached. Please support HoLa and the PTO with a $15 membership contribution. Completed checks and forms can be sent in your child s folder or dropped off in the main office.
