SPRING STREET SONGSTERS The Spring Street Songsters are a lively group of active older adults who perform familiar music from the 20 s to the 50 s. The chorus is now in their 13 th season of providing entertainment for retirement homes, senior centers and church groups. Rehearsals are on (most) Thursday afternoons from 2-3 p.m. at The Center at Spring Street beginning September 21 st. Newcomers are always welcome and appreciated! Music reading is helpful, but not necessary. For more information, please contact Choral Director, Robin Ward at TRIVIA TIME Come to The Center and put your trivia knowledge to the test! On Monday, September 11 th at 1 p.m. The Center will host its first Trivia Time. Bring a team or walk in and join one! Each member of the winning team will win a goody bag! SECRETS TO LIVING AT HOME LONGER You already know the secret to living longer, now find out the secret to living in your home longer! On Tuesday, September 12 th at 1 p.m., you will learn the three leading factors that take older adults from their homes and how you can avoid them! Wendy Kerschner of Comfort Keepers will provide you with information and resources you can use now and enjoy freedom and independence in the years to come! COLING WITH A PURPOSE RETURNS On Wednesday, September 12 th, from 6 to 8 p.m., accomplished local artist, Julie Longacre, will return to take you step by step in coloring one of her drawings created exclusively for The Center at Spring Street. Copies of Julie Longacre s drawings and colored pencils will be available to use free of charge, but participants are welcome to bring their own colored pencils if they wish. Children age 5 years of age and older accompanied by an adult are welcome to attend. Advance registration is requested. Please register at The Center or by calling The Center at WALKING AT BOYERTOWN COMMUNITY PARK Enjoy walking? Join us on Thursday, September 14 th and 28 th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Boyertown Community Park to walk on a macadam walking trail through the beautiful park. Participants can walk at their own pace and benches are located throughout the park for your comfort. 5 THE CENTER AT SPRING STREET BUS TRIP SCHEDULE The Center at Spring Street bus trips are open to anyone age 55 and over; Center membership is not required. All bus trips depart from The Gilbertsville Shopping Center unless specified otherwise. A $5 (five dollars) deposit will reserve your seat. Final payments must be made by designated date. We reserve the right to fill the reservation if final payment is not made on time. All trips are open for sign-up now.
