2 MINI SNOWSKIN 'MAO SHAN WANG' DURIAN Brought back by popular demand, the Mini Snowskin Mao Shan Wang Durian mooncake features the creamy texture and bittersweet taste of the King of Fruits. It is best enjoyed chilled. The Mid-Autumn Festival traditionally marks the end of the autumn harvest. The moon is also the brightest at this time of the year, which is why the legend of Chang Er has always been attached to this celebration. Chang Er was the wife of a remarkable archer, Hou Yi, who shot down nine out of ten suns in the sky, saving the people and crops on Earth from getting burnt. Legend goes that Chang Er downed the elixir of immortality bestowed to her husband, to prevent it from being stolen. She ascended to the moon after that, and has been worshipped by the Chinese as the Moon Goddess ever since. Moon-gazing parties are a popular way to celebrate this festival, by carrying lanterns and savouring mooncakes which are usually best enjoyed with a cup of Chinese tea. New to the selection of artisan mooncakes this year is the White Lotus Seed Paste with Five Grains mooncake, while the signature Assorted Mini Snowskin Martini mooncakes (pictured on the cover) now include two new, novel flavours Mangotini and Orangetini.

3 WHITE LOTUS SEED PASTE WITH FIVE GRAINS A new variation of the traditional baked mooncake, the White Lotus Seed Paste with Five Grains mooncake presents a healthier and nuttier option with the addition of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, oats and sesame seeds to the white lotus seed paste. MINI Custard Lava WITH VANILLA The Mini Custard Lava with Vanilla mooncake comprises a palatable combination of salted egg yolk and vanilla. Best savoured warm to elicit the smooth, molten texture of its filling, this mooncake pairs perfectly with Chinese tea.
