3 More than a quarter-century ago, in Concord, NH, Margaritas co-founder John Pelletier acquired his first Mexican restaurant and quickly turned it into a local favorite. Two more locations soon followed along with John's brother Dave, who joined him on the venture. With John leading the development of the Margaritas concept and brand and Dave concentrating on the company's operations, things began to take shape - and really heat up! They quickly realized, though, that if these restaurants were going to become something truly different, they needed more than just a Mexican menu. In 1988, with that in mind, they took their first trip to Mexico in search of something new and unique. What they found there, well beyond the tourist trinkets and Americanized resorts, was something unique and real, something special. Something that they knew would be welcomed with open arms in their restaurants. What they discovered was a collection of ingredients that, when combined, created the perfect experience - colors, foods, art, music, drinks - it all added up to something wonderful. So under the Guadalajara sun, inspired by the best Margaritas they'd ever tasted, they began to import their discoveries to America) bringing Mexico home by the truckload. At the center of their plan were regular return visits to the region and with each trip they immersed themselves deeper into the culture and local artist communities. They sampled the rich flavors and traditional dishes and they developed a relationship with the people and an appreciation for their warm, genuine hospitality. To this day, the trips to Mexico continue, but now they include managers, employees and friends. And on each return flight they bring home with them something to add to the recipe. A new dish, new flavors harvested from centuries of family recipes, new decor ideas or a piece of art found in a small village outside the city. And, of course, a continuing love affair with the salty, sweet goodness of those wonderful agave potions.
4 At Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, our core philosophy is to provide outstanding food and drinks that balance years of experience with exciting flavorful innovations. We travel regularly to Mexico and across the United States to study emerging food trends and look for inspiration. We strive to appeal to American tastes while always maintaining a connection with Mexican flavors and culinary advances. Our highest priority is to create delicious food, and that begins with great ingredients. We slow cook our sauces, prepare and cut fresh produce daily, and create each dish as it's ordered; we make our Guacamole and Salsa Fresca every day. When it arrives at your table, it has to be delicious. It's important that our menu offers a balance of comfort foods and light, healthy alternatives, allowing guests to satisfy different needs during different visits. The variety represents what Margaritas does best; expertly combine consistency, value and innovation. Like our food, our Margaritas are hand crafted to order every time. We create our signature Margarita mix every day. We mix it by hand to create the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Combined with great tequila and triple sec, it offers an ideal tasting drink. You may be able to order them elsewhere, but none compare to the taste of our Margaritas.

6 While each Margaritas has a different and unique look, there is a common feeling among them; that you have entered a warm, inviting and exciting environment, not far from home but with a feeling like it's two thousand miles to the south. Each dining room is a gallery of beautiful artwork, band-made furniture, fixtures and decor. From the custom-carved chairs to the tile-top tables, everything about Margaritas is colorful and special. Every restaurant offers many works of folk art created by talented artists from little villages surrounding Guadalajara, brought back from our many visits to Mexico. One-of-a-kind pottery vases and delicately painted planters adorn shelves alongside highly detailed, magnificently painted and carved table and chairs. There are hand-painted details on the walls and countless suns, birds, frogs and turtles throughout the restaurant. There's plenty of room to wait for friends to arrive or just relax in our spacious waiting areas. The lounges are warm and inviting with combinations of tiled tabletop booths and high-top tables alongside spacious bars. Tables are lit with jeweled star lights and clay lamps. Our lounges are the perfect place to enjoy a well-made Margarita or share dinner with family and friends. These museum-quality carvings, artwork, hand-built furniture and tile all come directly from Mexico where they were picked out specifically for each location. Restaurants are decorated with truckloads of art and furniture, including hundreds of boxes of tile.
7 Margaritas is more than your typical Mexican restaurant, and each location's personality and charm is as unique as the community it serves. We take our role in the community seriously and aim to do more than bring great food, fun and excitement to the area. Through education, charitable donations and other community outreach, we give back, teach locally about the vibrancy of Mexican culture, and have a lot of fun together along the way. VISITING ARTISTS Every year Margaritas hosts award-winning and internationally recognized artists from Mexico to tour local schools and Margaritas restaurants. Each artist works in a specific medium such as ceramics, wood carving or papier-mache. The Visiting Artists Program is an extraordinary cultural experience. By showcasing real Mexican artists in our restaurants and at local schools, we're able to share our passion and respect for the culture with our community. While patrons dine they can observe a woodcarver's skill or a ceramist's finesse; children sit transfixed by the activities and parents linger while a DVD video displays images and events of modem day Mexico. Previous Visiting Artist tours have been featured on the CBS affiliate in Hartford and WGME Good Day Maine, as well as in the Portland Press, Fosters Daily Democrat, Sentinel Source, Lewiston Sun Journal, Keene Sentinel, Portsmouth Herald, Walpole times and on PatriotLedger.com and Patch.com. FIELD TRIPS Field Trips to our culturally rich restaurants are a valuable, educational experience for local students and their teachers. We offer three types of Field Trip Packages that feature guided restaurant tours, food demonstrations and even a DVD presentation of contemporary Mexico that highlights Mexican artisans, markets, street scenes and mariachis. A teacher study guide provides material to prepare students and follow-up activities for later classroom discussion. CHARITABLE DONATIONS Giving back to the communities in which we live and operate is an important part of the Margaritas culture. Over the past decade, important programs have been developed to facilitate a high level of giving back. The Noche Mexicana Fundraisers thrive on a weekly basis taking place on Sundays - Wednesdays. Hundreds of area school groups and charities have benefitted from a growing partnership with Margaritas. 20% of their guests' entire checks go right back to those groups.
