Over the years it has grown in size and reputation to become the embassy of Highland hospitality south of the border. Boisdale was named after a remote port in the Outer Hebrides, which for centuries was the home of the Macdonalds of Clanranald, an ancient and noble Scottish clan, of which Ranald s father is The Captain the clan chief. The Lamb at Hindon In 2004 Boisdale acquired The Lamb at Hindon, a 17th century coaching inn, steeped in history and resting in the rolling hills of Wiltshire. The Lamb has 14 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and meeting rooms and is open all year round.

Alternatively, the whole venue can be booked for up 140 for a sit down meal or 230 for canapé and drinks parties.

The restaurant is available to hire for private events and weddings during the week* and at weekends. For larger parties it is possible to hire two or more areas. Alternatively, the whole venue can be booked for up 140 for a sit down meal or 230 for canapé and drinks parties. Our music director is on hand to co-ordinate a special band or performer for you and the event co-ordinator can assist with all the details from the cake to the flowers. Each event is tailored individually so please contact us to discuss your special day in more detail. * The Macdonald Bar is not generally available for private hire during the week but can be booked for Saturday and Sunday luncheons as well as Sunday evening functions.
