This year we are launching a new service, The Visit Oxfordshire Group Travel Desk, a one stop shop for groups visiting Oxford and Oxfordshire. The Visit Oxfordshire Group Travel Desk provides the following services to help enhance your group visit to Oxfordshire: Discounted ticketing for groups. Booking a Blue or Green Badge guide for your trip. Help and advice with planning your group visit. Itinerary ideas. Arranging welcome packs for your group. Group dining. Accommodation bookings. We have also negotiated exclusive meal deals (including meals under 10 per person) with seven group friendly restaurants in the city as well as two in Oxfordshire. Discounted tickets for key attractions: Blenheim Palace, the Ashmolean Museum temporary exhibitions, Cotswold Wildlife Park and St Michael at the North Gate are also available. 3 ATTRACTIONS FOR GROUPS The Ashmolean is Britain s first public museum and the greatest university museum in the world. Here you will find objects from across the globe dating from 8000BC to the present day. The famous Alfred Jewel, magnificent Pre- Raphaelites paintings, exquisite Chinese jade and ceramics, Samurai armour from Japan and the finest collection of pre-dynastic Egyptian artefacts outside Cairo are some of its most famous exhibits. The birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill was a gift from Queen Anne and a grateful nation to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough following his famous victory at the Battle of Blenheim in Situated in Woodstock, just 8 miles from Oxford, Blenheim Palace is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of Capability Brown landscaped parkland, the great lake, and beautiful formal gardens, offering an unforgettable day out for all. Your discounted tickets will allow members of your group to join a scheduled tour of the palace individually during your visit, giving each member of your group the flexibility of visiting the palace and grounds at their own leisure. There has been a place of Christian worship here for more than 1,000 years and the church tower is one of the oldest buildings in the city. William Shakespeare, John Wesley, King Charles I and the Oxford Martyrs all had parts to play in its history. Facilities:Toilets, Gift Shop Opening times: Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 12noon to 5pm. Stroll around the Park and get eye-to-eye with Giraffe, walk with Lemurs or watch Rhinos graze on the Gothic Manor House lawn. Ride on Bella the Train, lunch in our restaurant or go wild in the adventure playground. With over 260 different species of animals in over 120 acres of Parkland and stunning gardens, that make a beautiful backdrop to the animals. We do not accept American Express or Diners Card. 2. By bank transfer. Bank details and a reference for your payment will be included in your invoice. 3. By cheque. Please send a cheque payable to Visit Oxfordshire Limited for the full amount due with your booking form. Cheques must be in pounds sterling and drawn on a British bank. Confirmation of Booking By completing the booking form, you agree that all written communications from Visit Oxfordshire Limited may be made by to the address specified in your booking form. Bookings will be confirmed by after payment is received. Receipts will be sent only on request. Agents please ensure you send a copy of these Terms and Conditions and the booking form to your group leaders. Amendments/Cancellation Amendments to the booking must be received by to groups@visitoxfordshire.org at least 7 working days before your visit. No refunds available when cancelling tickets. Limitation of Liability Except as set out in these Terms and Conditions, all warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from this contract. Visit Oxfordshire Limited acts as agent and it shall under no circumstances whatever be liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising under or in connection with your tour. Nothing in these conditions shall limit or exclude liability of Visit Oxfordshire Limited for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. Complaints Any complaint about one of the group services should be notified to Visit Oxfordshire acting as agent for the venues. Visit Oxfordshire will handle the complaint on behalf of the Group Travel Desk in accordance with its complaint procedures but as Visit Oxfordshire Limited acts only as agent, it accepts no responsibility for the service provided at the venue.
