This was an increase over last year s successful St. Patrick s Day party. Members danced the night away to the vibrant tunes of DJ Fred Davis. Be sure to check out the photos at Now we are quickly approaching our Summer Celebration on June 16 th! This is the one party that KNN hosts each year, where ALL Kenmure residents are invited, whether or not they belong to KNN or KCC. I urge you to make your reservations early. Based on last year s summer party attendance, we are likely to quickly reach capacity. Anyone trying to make a reservation after we reach our maximum number, or after the reservation deadline, may choose to be placed on a waiting list. As an additional reminder, RESERVATIONS WILL CLOSE AT 12:00 NOON SUNDAY, JUNE 10, or earlier if we reach capacity. The Activity Rotations are the heart and soul of KNN. If you have not participated in any of these activities, I encourage you to do so. While the parties are a fun way to socialize with others, the activities, which are divided into smaller groups, make it much easier to get to know folks even better. It is through these activities that we truly become neighbors! Each of our newsletters this year will highlight a different activity. Consider trying something new! View these and more on the KNN website For your edification, here is a GLOSSARY OF KENMURE ACRONYMS KPOA - Kenmure Property Owners Association manages and maintains our community through an elected volunteer board and committees, including: Road Maintenance, Security & Garbage, Architectural Review, Community Services, Community Relations and Emergency Services. The KPOA office/lending library is located at 10 Kenmure Drive (the first house as you enter the grounds) and is open most weekdays from 1-3pm KCC - Kenmure Country Club is the heart of our community. The mansion, a stately southern home dating back to 1850, houses The Grill Room (informal), The Sears Room (for monthly formal dining), and The Charleston Room (special dinners, banquets, meetings, and private events). The Pro Shop, a card room, real estate, and administrative offices are also in the building. Under the KCC umbrella are the golf course, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, bocce court and soft and hard tennis courts. Social, Sports and Golf Memberships are all available for an initiation fee plus monthly dues KNN - Kenmure Newcomers & Neighbors is a community networking organization open to all Kenmure property owners. New members are allowed a grace period of up to one year, allowing the chance to sample KNN activities, including those held at KCC (club membership is encouraged at any time during this grace period, however, after 12 months, club membership is mandatory in order to remain a KNN member). Volunteer-run activities are many and varied, all geared to learning about the area and neighbors KEI Kenmure Enterprises, Inc is the owner/operator of KCC including all golf, sports and fitness areas as well as Kenmure Lake and unsold development lots KP Kenmure Properties is the real estate arm of KEI *Each of these websites have separate members only sections; all user names differ, so sanity dictates that it would be best to write each one in your directory 2

If someone in your group can t make your activity, please call those who have signed up to be substitutes. This gives everyone a chance to participate, will help in the scheduling of your event and maybe even eliminate the dreaded, endless, back and forth s searching for a date. 5 KNN ROTATION ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHT HAPPY HOUR WINE TASTING If you like tasting and learning about different wines then this activity is the one for you. Happy Hour Wine Tasting is a fun and informal activity. It is held once a month for the four-month rotation at the home of the assigned host on a mutually agreed date. The host provides the four wines for the evening and heavy hors d oeuvres. The other three couples in the group also bring hors d oeuvres to share. This is a fun way to meet more KNN members in an informal setting while tasting fun wines, not fine wines. Did you know?
