3 Meet Me in Paris THREE-NIGHT PRE-CRUISE PROGRAM Romantic, vain, convivial defining Paris is a favorite pastime of the Parisians themselves. France s capital is home to haute couture, masterpieces of art and architecture, and temples of fine dining, but also cozy bistros, vibrant ethnic enclaves, and bohemian cafés. One of the most visited destinations in the world, the City of Lights glitters brighter than ever. You are invited to meet your fellow group members in Paris for an intimate three night precruise program. You ll spend all three nights in a charming, art-design hotel on Paris historic Left Bank. Over the next three days you ll enjoy a group dinner, a tour of the Champagne winemaking region, and an entire day to explore Paris on you own. On the last day, you ll take a high-speed TGV train from Paris to Bordeaux, where you ll board the ship for your river cruise. Here you ll find the Musée d'orsay (home to one of the world s greatest impressionist art collections), the Sorbonne, the Eiffel Tower, and the Luxembourg Gardens. This is where the city grew up and came of age and where we found the hotel for your Paris stay. DAY 1 INDEPENDENT ARRIVAL IN PARIS & WELCOME DINNER [D] Guests arrive in Paris independently and transfer to the hotel on their own. Situated off the Boulevard Saint-Germain des Prés, is the four-star L Hôtel Bel-Ami. Check into your room and spend the afternoon exploring on your own or just relaxing in your room. Later, walk a few blocks to meet your fellow group members at Lapérouse restaurant for a welcome dinner. Founded in 1766 on the banks of the picturesque River Seine, Lapérouse resides at one of Paris most exclusive addresses, a historic mansion overlooking the Ile de la Cite. The restaurant is considered to be one of the most prestigious restaurant reservations in Paris, and a triumph of French cuisine.

4 DAY 2 INDEPENDENT DAY [B] Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today is your day to explore Paris on your own. Visit the Louvre, the Musée d Orsay, walk along the Ile Saint-Louis, stroll the Champs-Élysées, see the Arc de Triomphe, take a scenic boat ride on the Seine on one of the bateaux mouches, window shop on Rue Saint-Honoré, or visit Paris most beloved monument the Eiffel Tower. 7 THE RISING REDS OF BORDEAUX LEFT BANK PORT: PAUILLAC, FRANCE MAY 23, 2016 For generations, Bordeaux has been known as the most famous winemaking region in the world. When they released the 2009 and 2010 vintages, its reputation rose even higher. As stated in the March 2013 issue of Wine Spectator, Bordeaux has done it again. (It) has produced great vintages back to back. In fact, (James) Molesworth judges the 10s to be a notch better (than the 09s) he rates the vintage at 99 points on the Left Bank and 98 on the Right Bank. Wine critic, Robert Parker also stated that, it is an inescapable truth that 2010 has produced another year of compelling Bordeaux. In 2015, James Molesworth was back in Bordeaux to barrel taste the 2014 vintages. As CHÂTEAU LYNCH BAGES they are unfinished wines, they are scored in a 4-point range (92-95) to indicate the preliminary ratings. It looks as though 2014 might give 2010 a run for its money! Pts. Château Lynch Bages Pauillac Pts. Every year, wine lovers from all over the world come to Bordeaux for one simple reason: to visit the 300,000 acres of vineyards that lie outside town and stretch for miles in every direction.
