1 Welcome to the April 2018 Tasmanian Branch Newsletter. Membership Survey Two of our recent events have been cancelled due to lack of interest. I have put together a very short anonymous member survey. It is only 4 questions on one page and the average time to complete is less than 2 minutes. I will be sending reminder s to make sure we get sufficient responses, so please complete it now. Thank you to those who have already completed the survey! Careers Evening 26 th April Merchandise We will be placing an order shortly for RACI branded merchandise for the Branch. This is a great opportunity for us to promote the Branch at community and school engagement activities, to advertise the RACI in your workplace, and to show your membership with pride! The initial order will include polo shirts and hoodies. Soft shell jackets are also under consideration. More details will be provided shortly. Career Outcome Videos A reminder that Ruth Amos (formerly on the Branch committee) has recorded a number of conversations with Tasmanian Branch members to highlight their career outcomes and the benefits of RACI membership to their careers. You can check out the videos on the RACI YouTube Channel Tasmanian Playlist here. They are also on our Facebook page, and have been shared quite widely already.

2 Cascade Brewery Tour 5 th May A visit to the Cascade Brewery will be held on the 5 th May from 10am, followed by lunch at the Brewery Café. The tour includes four drink samples. Tour price $15 members, $20 for non-members. Payment is required at the time of RSVP. Please contact nathan.kilah@utas.edu.au to RSVP and to arrange payment. They have asked that we preorder our meals. Please see the menu at the end of the newsletter. Quiz Night 25 th May Tasmanian Branch Youth Lecturer Our 2018 Youth Lecturer is Dr Justin Chalker from Flinders University in South Australia. Justin will be visiting schools across Tasmania in Term 3. Find out more about Justin here:
