1 Senior News June 2015 Senior Activity Center, 1699 Homes Avenue, Ashland OR tel: Online at: tty: 711 Southern Oregon Repertory Singers We are pleased to host a performance on June 3rd at 12:30 p.m. by the SORS Outreach Singers here at the Ashland Senior Center. The SORS Outreach Singers are a professional quality group of 8-10 top performers. This smaller, select group, is conducted by Christopher Bingham. You will hear songs of a dazzling variety, which reflect the rich classical and folk traditions through centuries of choral literature. Come join us for a relaxing afternoon of music. Day Trip to Lake Creek & Lost Creek Covered Bridge Join us on Wednesday, June 10th for a day of touring some of Oregon s historic sights. We will visit the Lake Creek Pioneer Hall museum followed by a tour of the Lost Creek Covered Bridge. Then it will be a stop at the Lake Creek General Store Deli & Soda Parlor for an old fashioned ice cream sundae. The cost of the trip is $7 and payment is due at the time of reservation. Please also bring $$ for lunch. Space is limited so please drop by the Senior Program Office to make a reservation, or call We will be leaving the center at 9:45 a.m. and expect to return to the Senior Center around 1:30 2:00 p.m. Southern Oregon Lavender Festival Please join us on Friday, June 26th for a special trip to the Lavender Fields Forever Farm in the Applegate Valley. The festival will host U-Pick fresh lavender bouquets, craft vendors, wreath making, distilling demonstrations, a farm store loaded with all natural lavender products and more. Afterwards, it s lunch at Debby s Diner in Phoenix. The cost for the trip is $5 and payment is due at the time of reservation. Please also bring $$ for lunch. Space is limited.
