Low Income Subsidy Program You may qualify for assistance with your Medicare prescription drug costs if you have limited income and resources. The Medicare Extra Help program helps to pay monthly costs for premiums, annual deductibles and prescription co-payments. Many people qualify and do not know it. For a married couple your resources (which do not include your home, car or any life insurance policy) must be limited to $27,250, and your annual income must be limited to $24,030. A single person s resources must be limited to $13,640, and annual income must be limited to $17,820.
