In recent years, imported wine displays breath-taking explosive force in China. According to two groups of statistics about imported wine and domestic wine production from January to June published by General Administration of Customs and China Alcoholic Drinks Industry Association, total imported bottled wine (below 2L) was 103,600 KL with year-on-year increase of 60.2%; imported bulk wine (above 2L) is 66,600 KL, 18.8% up. In the first half of 2011, imported wine hits KL. Significant increase of imported wine throws domestic wine into the shade. The latest statistics from China Alcoholic Drinks Industry Association show that, from January to June of 2011, domestic wine production was 501,000 KL with year-on-year increase of only 16.7%. That is to say, imported wine has taken 25% share of domestic wine market in the first half of witnesses large scale and great development in the wine industry. From January to November of 2010, total sales revenue of the wine industry hit billion Yuan with year-on-year increase of 26.97%.
