Knowing that, our merchants continue to improve the products available for you each holiday season. I know it s still weeks before Christmas, but since displays are up in the stores and you may be making a list and linking it to your money, I thought you might like some of the backstory on moving vehicles. Admittedly we like real trucks best, with 270 tractors (the front part), 640 trailers and 350 drivers in our fleet. Still, the new toy truck is impressive, bigger than previous ones and with bells and whistles! You can try out the truck s effects in the box without unwrapping it. On the top of the tractor are buttons saying push forward button now (and the wheels spin) or back it up now. There are flashing lights on the side, shiny wheels, and lots more. The price: $29.99 for a two-foot long machine with five red tomatoes depicted on the side. It was made in China for us, but has been tested before it was shipped to be sure there s no lead and then again when it arrived at a private testing lab in Buffalo. Much smaller but still a truck is a new $1.99 Pez candy dispenser with a sushi illustration on the side. It s by Lionel, the long-time leader in electric trains; they made this one just for. It has an air whistle, puffing smoke, and headlights.
