1 2015 Lighthouse Brewfest Descriptions, Specs and WTLB Tray 1 Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Brewery Hillsboro, OR Established: May 1986 Brewers: Brady Romtvedt and Chris Oslin Farmstead Wheat - This crisp, easy- drinking American wheat beer is 50% malted white rounded out with Pilsen and Vienna malts. Generous flavor and aroma additions of citrusy hops give this beer a bright nose with flavors of fruit and bread. Lime Cream Ale - It s time to bust out the bow tie and dust off the dancin shoes, cause it only takes one word to get the party started, TEQUILA! And I invited tequila s best friend, the lime, to hang out for a few. Cut that with the unbelievable smoothness of this cream ale, and you ve got a party in a pint! Oak Hills Brewery Established: August 1990 Brewer: Dan Black Red Lake Trail Amber Ale - Hiking along the Red Lake Trail, you will cruise through ancient forest some of which are still recovering from fire damage, and a dozen lakes. This beer was inspired by this two- day journey. Just as nature is always looking for balance, the Amber Ale is a balance between malts and hops. Pale malt, rolled oats, amber malt, Red X and a touch of black

2 malt is the backbone of this tasty ale. The Sterling whole leaf hops and dry hop with Galaxy Pellets round out the flavors. Sit back, drink a pint, and envision a day in the Oregon forest. This is a true session ale, low in alcohol while retaining a lot of flavor. It sits with a mahogany glow, and slight malty aroma. The combination of malts creates a sweet toffee, nutty flavor. Have one with no fear, no distractions, allowing the ability to let that which does not matter truly slide. Lighthouse Brewery Lincoln City, OR Established: July 1986 Brewer: Doug Ashley Brew Raker English IPA - Quiet! Listen carefully. You have just been given security clearance for a top- secret project Brew Raker. This full- bodied English IPA is on a need to know basis and you need to know how great this beer is, so read carefully. The Brew Rakers malts blend well with the combination of Mosaic, Cascade and Citra Hops. The hops come through with a mild flavor but are by no means shy. So enjoy and toast the cosmos on this amazing galaxy of flavors. Concordia Brewery Established: September 1997 Brewers: Matt Carter and Dave Kosanke Saint Remy Belgian Dubbel - From the yeast s humble beginnings in the Notre Dame de Saint Remy monastery, the malt s magnificent trip across the Atlantic, the hops from Northwest s finest fields, this beer will take you on a spectacular journey. Rich with notes of caramel and dark fruit and hints of spice, this beer is a delectable treat. A Votre Sante! 4 Established: February 1997 Brewers: Stephen Harper and Drew Phillips Dying Embers Imperial Stout The song, Cold Old Fire, by Dublin, Ireland, folk band Lynched inspired this dark concoction. It's meant to evoke grey days in Dublin & memories of good times and bad spent by a fire, whose flame, like a glass of tasty, strong beer, inevitably will disappear. We sought out flavors to mimic the atmosphere of sitting around the dying embers of a cold old fire. Tao of Tea s pine- smoked black tea provides the smoke, while organic habanero peppers provide the slight heat. Wintergreen leaves bring up the last note on the palate, signifying the chill that sneaks up like a thief around such a scene. Stout and black tea well, in terms of Dublin, they sort of speak for themselves, don t they? The weather is getting hotter so try a pint of this easy drinking thirst quencher. By German law a true Kolsch can only be brewed in the city boundaries of Cologne but this ale was brewed in the city of Tigard and it s qualified to represent the JBC pub. We used Scottish Ale yeast to ensure authenticity of the brew, and fermented it with the care and attention of an ancient Pict. Named after our brewer s Scottish ancestry and his affinity for a good spot to kick up his feet and enjoy a brew, this ale lands on the malty side of the brew spectrum with a restrained dose of hops and a slightly sweet finish. 7 character. Fermented cool with Bohemian Lager Yeast, it is smooth, strong, somewhat sweet and full- bodied. Slightly toasty with a hint of chocolate, Locomotivator is a meal in a glass.
