2 ABOUT THE SOFT DRINK = Cedrata Baladin represents a desire to draw ourselves back to our childhood memories. Its ingredients are simply water, natural brown sugar, lemon juice, carbon dioxide and the infusion of Calabrian citron from Diamante, which gives it its distinctive aroma and flavour. Ginger Baladin belongs to the new line of alcohol free drinks with no colourings or preservatives launched on the Italian and International markets in 2010 by Baladin. Its ingredients are simply water, natural brown sugar, lemon juice, carbon dioxide and the unmistakable infusion of herbs, zests of bitter and sweet oranges from Gargano PGI in Puglia, spices and vanilla which gives it its distinctive aroma and flavour. Creator Teo Musso named this soft drink Ginger in honour of Hollywood legend Ginger Rogers. COLOUR = Burnt orange hue. NOSE = Sweet orange scents with uplifting vanilla. 4 ABOUT THE SOFT DRINK = THE MOTHER OF CHINOTTO. Younger drinkers will certainly find the taste of this drink quite unusual and may wonder what it reminds them of. If they knew that Spuma Nera or Dark as it was once called could be considered the mother of chinotto, then they would know where they have already tasted it. In making this drink, Baladin have gone back to the traditional recipe, which foresees as the basis for the myrtle leaf orange drink chinotto the use of the pink part of the rhubarb root as well as an orange zest infusion. Of course, no colourings or preservatives are added. COLOUR = Deep burnt sienna. NOSE = A perfume of myrtle leaf, gentle hints of orange rind and soft rhubarb notes. 5 ABOUT THE SOFT DRINK = Cola Baladin is the latest addition to the range of Bibite soft drinks from the Piedmont based brewing house Le Baladin. This is an authentic cola soft drink produced with Kola Nuts sourced from the Kola Slow Food Presidium in Sierra Leone. Part of the revenue from sales of the Cola is donated to the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity to support this Presidium project. Cola contains no colourings, artificial flavourings or preservatives. COLOUR = Amaranth. The choice to use the Kola nuts and not artificial colourings means that this new Baladin drink has a rather unusual hue for what we typically think of for cola.
