1 Heifer Ranch Retreat Center Nestled in the beauty of the Ouachita Mountains, Heifer Ranch is located in Perryville, AR approximately 1 hour (45 miles) Northwest of downtown Little Rock off of Hwy 10. The Ranch s facilities include lodges (linens & towels provided), meeting space and a dining hall. With the exception of our outdoor bunk barn and pavilions, all facilities are modern and climate-controlled. Heifer Ranch Heifer Ranch is one of three learning centers operated by Heifer International. These centers provide experiential education aimed to inspire, challenge and engage people to end hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth. 2 BARTEL LODGE - $700/night ($50/room) Sleeps 28 Multi-level 1 Handicap-accessible room Single-room booking option Bartel Lodge is a bi-level lodge with 14 rooms, a kitchenette and a common space. The top level has 8 rooms and the lower level has 6 rooms. Each room has two twin beds and bathroom. One room on the lower level is handicap-accessible with a separate entrance and parking area as well as a hallway door. Rooms do not have televisions or phones in them; wireless internet is available. The common area on the lower lever has a television with a DVD/VCR player, office sized refrigerator, microwave and a coffeepot with coffee and teas available. There are a few phones throughout the lodge which can be used for local calls. Trundle beds and rollaway beds can be added to several of the rooms to increase the lodge s capacity to 36.
3 HERSCH LODGE - $700/night Sleeps 35 Bunk-room style Multi-level Hersch Lodge is a bunk lodge with six rooms and four levels. Each room sleeps 6-12 people and has a bathroom with a wash basin which is separate from the toilet and shower area. The first level has a common area, dining area, kitchenette and one common bathroom. There is a television with a DVD/VCR player. Hersch lodge has a small wrap-around porch and an outdoor fire/grill area. The second level has a room, which has a twin over double bunk and a hand-cap accessible bathroom. This level is handicap friendly; handicapped guests will need to go outside to access the lower level (common area). The third and fourth levels each have two rooms with three set of bunks in each room. Rooms do not have televisions or phones in them. There are a few phones throughout the lodge.
4 RUPEL LODGE - $550/night Sleeps 20 Multi-level Full kitchen Rupel Lodge is a bi-level bunk lodge with four rooms; all rooms have their own bath. The lower level has a common area, two dining areas with table and chairs and a full kitchen, which is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and appliances. There is a television with a DVD/VCR player and small porch area with outdoor seating. The second level has four rooms two rooms with two sets of bunks and two rooms with three sets of bunks. There are multiple sinks located outside of the toilet and shower area. Rooms do not have televisions or phones in them. There is one phone located in the common area of the lodge. Rollaway beds or bunks can be added to two of the rooms to increase the lodge s capacity to 24.
5 HILLTOP HOUSE - $500/night Sleeps 16 (20 if use the futon and pull-out couch in the living room) Contains twins, bunks and double beds Contains a front and back unit which can be rented separately or used together. o Front unit = $300 o Back unit = $200 Hilltop House is a batch-style accommodation with four bedrooms; two with three twin beds and two with bunks one regular twin bunk and one single-over-double bunk. Each room has a bathroom. The common area is large and attached to the kitchen, which is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and appliances. The front of the house has a covered porch area with a porch swing as well as an uncovered porch with a small sitting area. The house can be separated into two separate units. The back unit sleeps six and has a small kitchenette and dining area. The front unit sleeps and includes the large common area and full kitchen. Did you know? Hilltop House used to be the Ranch s Visitor Center and Gift Shop in the 80 s and 90 s.
6 RUPEL APARTMENT - $100/night Sleeps 4 Contains two bedrooms and one shared bathroom. Full kitchen stocked with supplies and appliances. Living room with TV, dining area and small porch area. GATEHOUSE - $100/night Sleeps 4 Contains two bedrooms and one shared bathroom. Full kitchen stocked with supplies and appliances. Living room with TV, phone and internet access.
7 MEETING ROOMS Meeting rooms are equipped with wireless internet; phone; white board; flip chart; markers; a television with a DVD Player and coffee pot with coffee & teas. A/V equipment is available on request. The two rooms that are usually reserved for conference center use are the Provost and Eason Rooms, both can accommodate up to 50 people. Both rooms are handicap accessible. Olive Provost Meeting Room (right) Room dimensions: 23X33 feet meeting floor space and an additional 10X5.6 kitchenette which includes an office-size refrigerator and small sink. A built-in grill is also available on the porch. Wanda Tharp Eason Room (left) Room dimensions: 24X33 feet including a 13X7 kitchenette which includes a full-size refrigerator and sink. Metzger Classrooms Large partitions are used to divide the space into three classroom areas. Rent an individual classroom (dimensions) or use all three together for a large meeting space (dimensions). Each room has a flat screen TV mounted on the wall, access to internet, chairs, tables and a white board. *Please see our complete list of Rental Options and Pricing to find a space that fits your need!
8 FOOD SERVICE Meals are served cafeteria style in our Dining Hall. Our food service staff prepares home-cooked, hot meals from Ranch grown and raised ingredients. Breakfast includes the main entrée (meat and vegetarian); 1-2 sides; whole fruit and drinks. Lunch and supper include the main entrée (meat and vegetarian); 2-3 sides; salad bar (seasonal); bread; whole fruit; dessert and drinks. Morning and afternoon snacks are also available. Our Dining Room is handicap accessible, with a parking area as well. Heifer Ranch strives to utilize sustainable farming practices. The dining hall meals are prepared using seasonal Ranch products including vegetables, fruit and meat. Pork, beef and chicken are the main meats raised at the Ranch. Our food service staff can accommodate standard food allergies (wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, peanuts) and vegetarians. Please make sure this information is listed on the group s Needs Assessment Form and submitted three weeks prior to your arrival. It is recommend that those with a strict vegan or special diet bring supplementary food. These items can be stored in the kitchen if needed.

11 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What AV equipment is available? We have laptops, speakers, LCD projectors and a podium with microphone. Can we decorate the space ourselves? Yes. Please do not use nails, staples or tacks. Will I receive cell phone reception? While most cellular providers do have reception (except T-Mobile), there are some areas on the Ranch where a signal isn t available. Cell phone access is limited during programming and should be kept on silent or vibrate. Will we have access to computers/ ? Yes, albeit limited. There is a guest center in the Dining Hall and wireless at certain facilities. Do you have a gift shop? Yes! The Shop@Heifer offers a variety of t-shirts and fair-trade products from around the world. The shop is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Mon. Sat. Many of the items in our shops can also be found on-line at shop.heifer.org. Can we have a tour of the Ranch? Yes. Usually a tour of the Ranch is available on your first morning after breakfast; we can adjust the time to fit your schedule. What airport should be used? For safety of our animals and yours, only certified service animals are permitted. Who are the Ranch Staff? Our staff includes both employees and volunteers from all areas of the globe. Prior to becoming a member of the Heifer Ranch Staff, a thorough background check is performed.
12 MAKING A RESERVATION To Register: Review all information, choose a group size, choose a first & second date option, call or to make a reservation: or Dates: It is preferred to have at least two date options. Group Sizes: There is no minimum group size associated with the flat rate bookings of rental facilities. However, there may be a minimum payment of 12 required for meals booked during non-programming times. Determining your group size: It is best to have as accurate a count as possible. We cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate additional attendees. You will be financially responsible for the number of attendees agreed upon when signing the Contract, regardless of whether you decrease your number of attendees. If you increase your number of attendees, you will be responsible for a new balance based upon said increase. A final number of attendees must be given to us at least three (3) weeks prior to your Reservation Date. Payment Schedule - Deposit and signed contract due within 30 days of contract date Remaining balance due 90 days prior to arrival (see contract for date) If program is reserved within 90 days of program date, full payment is due within 30 days If program is reserved within 30 days of the arrival date, full payment is due within one week Final count due 3 weeks prior to reservation date on the Needs Assessment & Roster Forms Groups may be cancelled if deadlines for payment or forms are not met 3 weeks prior to arrival date Cancellation and Refund Policy - If you cancel, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule an alternative date. Cancellation by the group 90 days or more before the reservation date, results in a refund of half (1/2) of monies paid Cancellation by the group 90 days or less from the reservation date, result in no refund and monies paid forfeited
