1 Boys State Basketball Information Admission Tickets The same general admission ticket will be used at all sites. A session ticket is good for the specified session at one site only. For example, a person cannot buy a general admission ticket and gain admittance at more than one site during a session. Ticket prices are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. Conduct of Student Body The students and team followers are expected to exhibit sportsmanlike behavior during the tournament. Any person becoming disorderly will be removed from the game site. Shredded paper, confetti, etc. should not be carried into the gymnasiums by your pep club and student body. The fire marshal has directed us not to permit materials of this type in the various sites. Signs and Banners: Signs and banners that are not directed at the opposition and are not derogatory in nature may be placed on walls behind the seating areas in the High Schools ONLY. Signs that are not political, obscene, or in bad taste may be posted within the playing facility as long as the signs do not interfere with the spectators' view of the game or with the playing of the game. There will be no signs or banners allowed to be posted at the Devaney Sports Center or Pinnacle Bank Arena. These signs or banners will not be permitted on walls or the stands near the playing floor. Appropriate handheld signs are allowed at all locations. Signs, banners, and school flags should not be carried around the floor. No balloons inside the facility. Artificial Noisemakers: The use of artificial noisemakers is prohibited. (Examples: air horns, whistles, bells, Thunder Sticks, etc.). Megaphones are to be used by cheerleaders only. Band instruments, including drums, are not to be played at any time other than when the entire band is playing. Facilities and Parking Lincoln Northeast we will be the visiting team for 1st round game at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday All school lots will be available for parking as school will not be in session. Use lots on the north, west, and east side of the school. Parking is available at Easter Day Recreation Center at 62nd and Adams Street. The Catholic Church at 63rd and Madison does not offer parking. 2 Entrance Use the doors on the northeast corner of the school by Ed Johnson Gym or the west entrance to Ed Johnson gym. (West doors have far less traffic and you will gain entrance to the gyms much quicker! Tickets may be purchased right inside the doors.) Devaney Sports Center we would be the visiting team for the semifinals at 7:00 on Friday For all games, students from the designated visiting team go to the Southeast Corner concourse level and wait for the preceding game to end before being seated. The visiting team students will be in the East B Level and C Level seats. Spectators from the visiting team will be seated on the South side of the Devaney Sports Center. The students and adult spectators will be moved to other seating areas following the completion of each game. Pinnacle Bank Arena we would be the home team for the finals at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday Fans can enter using the main entrance on the south side of PBA or the Northeast upper entrance just over the walking bridge. The home team students will be seated in Section 101 (north end of PBA). For all games, students from the designated home team will go to the north concourse area to wait for the game in progress to be over so they can occupy those seats. Spectators from the designated home team will be seated on the East Side in Sections 106 and 107 of PBA. The students and adult spectators will be moved to other seating areas following the completion of each game. Students in Section 101 (home) will exit to the top. If Ainsworth would play in the semifinal game and lose, we would play in the 3rd place game at Lincoln Northeast on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and would be the home team.

6 Pinnacle Bank Arena Teams will park and enter on the North side of the arena. Parking permits will not be distributed, rather team names will need to be given to the parking attendant. Park in Gates 2/3 and enter Dock Door 1.

8 DATE: Monday, February 1, 2016 VISITOR INFORMATION: (402) OR (800) NSAA HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS: LINCOLN INFORMATION The Nebraska State Championship tournaments provide special opportunities for the athletes and coaches who have worked hard all year and won a place in the Nebraska School Activities Association state finals. The Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) recognizes the importance of this achievement and wants to make this visit a true championship experience! The facilities being utilized this year are the Devaney Sports Center, Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln Northeast High School, and Lincoln East High School. In order to welcome the high school basketball players from your area, we offer the following information: CONSTRUCTION AND TRAFFIC CHANGES 56 th Street from Old Cheney to Shadow Pines Van Dorn from 84 th Street to 91 st Street 18 th Street from P Street to Q Street Cumberland at 56 th Street London at 56 th Street ING The City of Lincoln welcomes visitors attending the State High School Basketball Tournaments and would like to remind you about downtown parking options. The city will be offering pre-paid parking at the Red 1 parking garage (555 R Street) conveniently located across from Pinnacle Bank Arena. Reserve a space by visiting The city also offers the First Hour FREE in their other Park & Go facilities. Downtown: Approximately 20,000 spaces are available in metered, on-street spaces and in parking lots or garages available for general public use daily. The city s Parking Services Division operates all city parking facilities and can be contacted at (402) 441- (7275). Parking for oversize vehicles can be arranged by calling Pinnacle Bank Arena at (402) or PolygonCorp at (402)

9 Rates: On-street metered spaces offer time limits ranging from 10 minutes to 10 hours. Parking meters are enforced Monday-Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are $1.00 an hour. Pay by phone by using the Passport Mobile app or website: m.ppprk.com. Public facility rates vary from an event rate of $5.00 day of game at the Red 1 and Green 2 garages, or $4.00 online at Normal daily rates give you the First Hour FREE, $1 per hour, with a maximum of $9 for all day parking. All team filled busses will utilize Gate 2 to park their bus and enter the arena. Only busses with teams and coaches will be allowed to utilize this gate for parking. They will enter into the arena through the door on the right hand side of Dock 1. There will be attendants present to assist with this and a sign that states, Team Entrance. Gate 4 will be for NSAA officials and is a permit parking only gate. All cheerleaders, bands, etc. can be dropped off on R Street in front of the arena. We ask that the busses then park in the Festival Space at no charge. If they are not dropping off, they are more than welcome to use the pedestrian bridge to come over to the arena. There will be no street closures around the arena for any of these days. All bands must enter into the building on the south side through the main entrance. They will not be allowed to enter through the team entrance.

Please do not park in any private lots not charging specifically for parking! These are private lots and your vehicle will be towed. On Thursday, March 10, games are played at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Devaney Sports Center, Lincoln Northeast High School, and Lincoln East High School. Pinnacle Bank Arena and Devaney Sports Center will be the sites of games on Friday, March 11. On Saturday, March 12, championship games will be played at Pinnacle Bank Arena and third place games will be held at Lincoln Northeast High School. Pinnacle Bank Arena Downtown parking is listed above. Lincoln Northeast High School Free parking is available in the school parking lot. Lincoln East High School Free parking is available in the school parking lot. Devaney Sports Center Parking is $5 per vehicle per entrance. This $5 fee will be charged each time a vehicle enters. From the west, enter on North Antelope Valley Parkway and West Entrance Road. From the east off of 27 th Street, enter at Entrance 4, off of Salt Creek Roadway. Parking will be in the lot on the north side of Devaney Sports Center in Innovation Campus. SPECIAL SERVICES Lincoln is thrilled once again to host the State High School Boys Basketball Tournament March 10-12, As a courtesy to participants, friends, family, and fans, the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau will be setting up information tables at each tournament site on Thursday and Friday of the event. CVB staff and volunteers will provide helpful resources to tournament goers while they are in Lincoln. Fans should plan to stop by the tables to pick up a free Lincoln Visitors Guide along with additional information to help you enjoy your stay in Lincoln, including a special value listing of state tournament retail and restaurant specials to enjoy during tournament weekend. And, of course, we ll be happy to answer questions about the city. A wide array of Lincoln information is also available at In addition to the information tables at all sites, Convention and Visitors Bureau staff will be on hand at each of the venues throughout the tournaments. Please look for staff wearing a black CVB vest at each of the venues as well as royal blue CVB attire at Pinnacle Bank Arena. They can answer any questions you may have about what s new in Lincoln or directions to and from venues. As a special welcome, the Lincoln CVB has once again implemented the Ambassador Program to assist the coaches and teams throughout the tournament. One Ambassador has been selected per team to help in any way possible in an effort to make this year s tournament

11 an enjoyable and memorable championship experience. Ambassadors will contact the team coach prior to their arrival in Lincoln.
