In addition, we regularly surprise our guests with innovative and special draught beers from around the world. We also have delicious pints of Jupiler on tap! At Belgian Beer Café Olivier Utrecht, guests can enjoy Belgian dishes, such as mussels and ham on the bone. Every fortnight we have a new seasonal three-course menu and our staff is of course ready to recommend the right beer to accompany your meal. As you can see, we hope to give you a genuine Belgian-style evening, with all the quality and generosity you would experience in Belgium itself. We are open daily for Belgian-style meals and drinks.

15 A world first: Duvel on draught It was deemed impossible for a very long time, but after 145 years, the moment has finally arrived: Duvel on draught! We were thrilled to bits when we were the first in the world to have Duvel on tap. Hang on, that s been around for a long time, the sceptics said, but nothing is further from the truth. The Duvel that s already available on draught is Duvel Single; a variant of the beer with 6.8% ABV and single fermentation, which makes it suitable for the tap. Here, in this church, the first drops of real Duvel, the one and only, genuine, refreshing, gold blonde 8.5% Duvel, flowed from the tap on Monday, 10 October Initially, its characteristically high levels of carbonic acid and the refermentation in the bottle prevented Duvel from being served on draught. All that would come out was foam. To have it on tap required a special installation with an extra thin tube, among other things. In order to assure the beer s flavour, each new keg needs to be connected to a new tube. There can be no doubt that Duvel draught is the real Duvel. During a blindfold test, even the most experienced connoisseurs found it hard to tell the difference. Duvel draught is also 8.5%, although it is slightly less bitter and a bit more crisp. This makes it easier to drink than the bottled version. If a regular portion is too much, you can order a Duvel draught in a 25cl. glass! Then this beer tasting will provide an interesting and educational evening.
