2 As a child I remember my grandmother cooking all Sunday for our long and traditional Sunday lunches where we would all gather around the table for hours, the flavors and scents still bring back memories from my childhood and my grandmother very much inspired me to become a chef growing up. My grandmother s cooking was very much based on the Mediterranean Diet which is a way of eating based on the traditional foods of the countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. Healthy living is becoming a major trend nowadays due to the health hazards one may face with maintaining an unhealthy and high tempo lifestyle. We all know how stressful it can be travelling and being away from home and family. The Mediterranean Diet is not a diet, as in go on a diet, rather, it is a lifestyle,including foods, activities, meals with friends and family, and wine in moderation with meals. Just as important, the Mediterranean Diet is full of wonderfully delicious, flavor-filled dishes and meals. It s easy to understand what it is for instance, I try to think about simple, yet healthy and delicious dishes, that also suit the onboard environment for heating and serving passengers from all over the world that all has to live the modern life where time is always of essence, my wish is that eating my food should be a discovery in flavours and perhaps awakening memories of scents from childhood, just as my grandmother inspired me, I hope I can inspire others. Last but not least, my meals can be packed in any type of packaging from my own Primo Gusto brand to private label, sizes, shape and weight to suit your needs and budget.
