5 The Manor Tamborine Mountain Historic Bungunyah Manor (circa 1882) is one of the oldest Manor Hotels in SE Queensland. Set amid 8 acres on one of the highest points on Tamborine Mountain, this is truly a unique location to enjoy rest, relaxation and recreation the old fashioned way. The Manor Hotel is set behind Bungunyah Manor sitting on 8 acres boasting 16 beautifully appointed Victorian suites a tennis court, swimming pool and sauna. Bungunyah the house, had its origin in what used to be known as The Syndicate House. This was built in approximately 1882 by a syndicate of Brisbane businessmen as Tamborine Mountain s first commercial tourist venue. Tamborine Mountain sits 525m above sea level and is 8 km long by 4 km wide with a population of just over 7000.
