See West Hall Departments General Rules on pages Exhibitors are limited to two entries in each class. 3. All exhibits must be in place by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August All entries must be grown by the exhibitor or their immediate family. All entries must clearly identify the variety/varietal of each entry on the back of the entry tag. Failure to write the entry s/entries variety on the back of the entry tag will result in automatic disqualification. The judge shall decide as to the eligibility of any entry in its class. Entries not classed correctly or that do not identify variety/varietal on the back of the entry tag will receive no premium (single variety entries). 5. All fruit will be judged on soundness, finish and uniformity and not upon polish. 6. IMPORTANT - A plate of apples, peaches, pears, plums, and pawpaws shall consist of five specimens. A plate of grapes shall be five bunches. Other entries as to amount stated. 7. No exhibitor will be permitted to sell fruit within the display area during the period of the Fair except final day, and then at such time and in such manner as prescribed by the Fair Management. 8. Shipment of perishable products is at the exhibitors risk. The Fair is not responsible for the condition of produce which has been mailed or shipped. 9. No partnership other than those already in existence shall be allowed to exhibit for premiums. 10. IN ALL COLLECTIONS, SINGLE TRAYS, SINGLE PLATES AND DISPLAYS, THE VARIETIES MUST BE IDENTIFIED BY THE EXHIBITOR ON THE ENTRY TAG. 11. All nuts are to come from 2017 crop year. They should be harvested, hulled and air-dried in shade prior to storage. Storage should be in refrigerator or freezer until 7 to 10 days prior to judging. 165

The superintendent shall have the right to remove from exhibition at any time, any exhibit, or part thereof, which does not make a good appearance, becomes unwholesome, appears spoiled, diseased or contains pesticide residue. 13. No articles can be removed before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26 at which time releases will be issued. NOTE TO EXHIBITORS IMPORTANT - In picking fruit for exhibit, select a fruit that is free of blemishes, is slightly above the average for the variety in size and that has good shape and color for the variety. Then select the remainder of the exhibit so that they will be near as possible like the pattern as to size, shape and color. Apples should have stems. In awarding premiums on display of fruit, the judge will use the following points: Condition - freedom from marks of insects, diseases and other blemishes points Uniformity of size, shape and color as to its variety points SPECIAL AWARD TO HIGH POINT EXHIBITOR To the exhibitor winning most points in Classes 1 through st - $30 & ROSETTE 2nd - $20 & ROSETTE 3rd - $10 & ROSETTE The following point system will be used: First - Blue Ribbon 20 points; Second - Red Ribbon 15 points; Third - White Ribbon 10 points; Fourth - Pink Ribbon 5 points. The exhibit should contain at least five fruit or nut crops. This display should be educational in nature and the use of important market containers in addition to trays and plates will add to the exhibit. All fruits grown by growers can be exhibited or represented (fresh or in jams, jellies, juices, canned, pies, etc.) The space will be approximately 4 feet wide, back wall 6 to 10 feet high, table in front of space about 6 feet wide.
