2 SHOW SUMMARY 9th international Wine and Spirits Fair was held on 3-5 June, 2016 at the Exhibition Center ExpoGeorgia fairground in Tbilisi, Georgia. The event was organized by Exhibition Center ExpoGeorgia and supported by Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and National Wine Agency of Georgia. Attracting almost 4000 visitors, presenting up to 95 companies from 5 countries and concentrating on creating fruitful working environment for all participants and attendees, the event proved its importance for the industry and its significance to regional as well as to international market. The exhibition was especially interesting not only for the participation of big and successful organizations, but also for the presence of small and family cellars with unique Georgian winemaking tradition. Parallel to the exhibition was held 8th international Wine Award. Out of 152 presented wines 114 were awarded with different type of medals: 62 bronze, 27 silver, 16 gold and 9 trophies. We participate for the first time in the Wine and Spirits international Fair, and this event is very interesting for building new business relationships. Also this exhibition is interesting with its contest. Eight wine samples were chosen from the wide assortment of Maranuli and we hope to get positive evaluation, that will be a huge achievement for Maranuli s team. DUGLADZE Zurab Bebichadze winemaker in Dugladze company. I am very satisfied with this year s exhibition. We annually participate in the Wine and Spirits Fair. I can tell you, that the quality of wines and number of presented companies grow each year, which in result keeps georgian winemaking in progress and constant development. The award highlights the achievements of individuals and companies throughout the industry, and brings together peers.

The ballot of the nominees for International Wine Awards was judged by a panel of international wine experts.

Experienced, attentive event coordinators work to develop new concepts and programs to ensure that ExpoGeorgia as a relationship broker continues to have a strong voice in the international economic forums of tomorrow. History of the Exhibition Center starts in At that time, State has built temporary exhibition pavilions and organized industrial exhibition to celebrate 1500 years anniversary of Tbilisi. Large scale construction works began in 1961 and as a result 11 pavilions, green house, pool sand park were placed in the city center. During Soviet Period exhibition center was a place for permanent exhibition of industrial and agricultural achievements of Soviet Republic, once a year the space was devoted to international exhibitions. In organization was privatized and transformed into Joint Stock Company. Infrastructure was modernized. ExpoGeorgia has been assigned a very important role guiding foreign capital inflow in Georgia and opening international markets for new Georgian businesses.
