2 Welcome to La Scala Function Suite Wedding Brochure Welcome to La Scala function suite here at Bodmin Jail in the very centre and heart of Cornwall. With its Gothic high vaulted ceiling, incredible décor, and an atmosphere hard to compare in Cornwall; it is just the perfect venue for your special day. This stunning venue is the function suite with a real difference for your special day. As a very popular local dining venue we understand keeping our prices competitive is crucial, and we understand the need to budget, but still wanting a great day. Whether you want just a small informal wedding, large formal wedding, or holding your engagement, hen, or stag party, we can look after you. We are licensed for music and dance, also to dispense alcohol until twelve midnight. Should you require a licence until one am there is a modest charge of for the application. We can cover all your wedding requirements, from the basic wedding planning up to a grand day and night of beautiful memories. We will liase with local companies on your behalf, such as local accommodation deals, photographers, cars, flower arrangements, cake makers, balloons, discos, entertainers and wedding favours. These are the standard requirements for a wedding, but we also offer things that are a little more bespoke, such as a balloon drop of hundreds of balloons on the night time party, chimney sweep, a falcon to bring the wedding rings to you, releasing two doves at the end of your civil ceremony; we can even deal with your RSVP s by setting up and managing your web address such as JanetandJohnswedding.com We have a fantastic brigade of chefs who can accommodate all your dietary and allergy requirements, as we try to source all our ingredients locally, when it comes to children we offer a 50% discount to guests under the age of fourteen, and for those a little younger we make our own homemade chicken or fish goujons with chips or potatoes served with peas, beans or lettuce, tomato and cucumber. 12 Terms and conditions I. We reserve the right to change /amend any quote at any time due to price increases by our suppliers, or amendments II. III. IV. by you to your original booking details. The minimum number of guests will be agreed at the time of booking and that will be what the final invoice is based on unless you exceed your minimum numbers. A minimum spend on food is per adult head. Your provisional reservation will be held for 14 days. If written confirmation and deposit has not been received by that time, we will assume that you do not require the reservation and the date will be released. Cancellation and deposits a non refundable deposit of is required to confirm the date with a further payment 6 months prior to the date of the function (this would be 50% of the estimated cost of the function). We will then ask for full payment four weeks prior to the function. The final payment is non refundable and non transferable. Cancellation charges will be incurred if you cancel: Six months prior no further charges Three to six months prior - 50% of estimated invoice Zero to three months - full charge V. Liability The Company* shall have no responsibility whatsoever for any damage, loss or injury to persons or property unless damage is caused as a direct result of negligence on the part of the Company*. In the case of loss or damage to the property, it shall be reported to and noted by the duty manager at the time of the discovery thereof and reported to the police within twenty for hours. The client will be liable for any loss or damage to the property (including items of equipment hired by the client) and for the loss or injury suffered by any person including guests of the function, non guests of the function and employees of the Company, caused by the negligence, wilful act or default of the client or by any person uninvited or brought into the building by the client. The client is advised to take out appropriate insurance covering public liability and loss or damage to its property and that of other persons attending the Function. The Company* will make every effort to provide the services as specified but if for any reason the Company* fails to provide any of the agreed goods or services it shall not be liable for any resulting loss or damage suffered. * Webb Ellis s Estates Ltd

On the very intimate balcony in La Scala, and yet still in the splendour of the Jail s original Chapel. The main floor of La Scala with its grand high vaulted ceiling. For a totally unique wedding, you may also have your ceremony down in the truly atmospheric Civil Wing of the Jail.
