1 CELEBRATE WITH HAVEN'S KITCHEN A meal, according to my understanding anyhow, is a communal event, bringing together family members, neighbors, even strangers. At its most ordinary, it involves hospitality, giving, receiving and gratitude. Wendell Berry We invite you to enjoy Haven s Kitchen as if it were your own home this winter season. We specialize in culinary-focused events from corporate team-building cooking classes to festive cocktail parties. For each event, we work closely with our guests to create a memorable celebration for the end of the year.

2 HOLIDAY EVENT OFFERINGS Cocktail Reception The holiday cocktail reception package includes a menu of stationary food and a selection of three cocktails with sparkling, red and white wines and beer. Beverage packages include a selection of three cocktails from the menu with sparkling, red and white wines and beer. Pricing for Beverage Packages: For up to two hours $50 per person. For up to three hours $70 per person. For up to four hours $85 per person. Interactive Cocktail Party Designed for 25 to 50 guests, we create stations for interactive moments. Guests participate in such activities as learning to shuck an oyster, the elements of a perfect cheese plate, or learning how to shake a cocktail. Stations are guided by our team of professional cooks and bartenders. 5 WINTER 2016 BEVERAGE MENU Haven s Kitchen believes that eating sustainably means eating well. This mission applies in equal measure to what we drink. Our beverage program is inspired by the season. We serve wines from farmers and producers that feature fruit that are grown and produced with methods that are sensitive to the environment. Additional A/V services are available at an additional charge. Staffing Labor pricing is based on the total number of guests, event space usage, and the length of the event. We are a non-gratuity house. Additional Fees Events are subject to an 12% administration fee, which is based on the full cost of the event. The administrative fee is not a gratuity and serves to offset ancillary expenses associated with the planning and administration of this event. 7 PRIVATE CLASSES Our cooking school is the heart of Haven s Kitchen. Each class is structured to provide hands-on experience in a convivial environment. Our instructors are trained experts in various fields in the food and beverage industry from holistic nutritionists to former chefs and cooks at some of the best restaurants across the country. Hands-on Cooking for Groups of Up to 12 People Hands-On Cooking for 12 Students $2,625 Pricing includes the meal, beer and wine, labor and space. No additional taxes or gratuities are applied. Guests have up to three hours in the Teaching Kitchen. Students cook for about 1½ hours and the remaining time is for eating and socializing. HOLIDAY TOPICS & CURRICULUM FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES, ABRIDGED The Feast of the Seven Fishes is a traditional meal served in many Italian-American homes across the country on Christmas Eve. Students will create an abbreviated version of a traditional and not-sotraditional Feast of the Seven Fishes dishes Sample Curriculum Menu: Salt Cod Mussels Marinara Calamari with Lemon and Chili Roasted Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce Clams Casino CHRIS-NNUKAH Forgo the same-old Hannukah and Christmas traditions, and honor the best foods from both holidays. Students will learn how to add a contemporary edge to familiar holiday menus such as latkes, prime rib with trimmings and jelly doughnuts. Sample Curriculum Menu: Horseradish Crusted Prime Rib Roast Potato Latkes with Applesauce and Crème Fraiche Orange and Radicchio Salad with Pomegranate Vinaigrette Roasted Winter Vegetables with Hazelnuts Croquembouche with Spiced Pastry Cream WINTER ROAST & FIXINGS In this class, students will learn how to prepare a festive holiday supper with a show-stopping roast such as prime rib, porchetta, or a standing lamb rib roast with all the fixings. 8 PRIVATE CLASSES Hands-on Classes for Bigger Groups For groups of 15 to 24, we have a curriculum offering called Easy Entertaining to provide a hands-on experience for everyone. For this class, your group is split into two teams: one team works in the kitchen creating a festive spread for a cocktail party while the other half learns how to make drinks to complement the food. At the end, the two groups meet for a celebratory gathering showcasing their accomplishments. Easy Entertaining for up to 24 Students $4,625 Pricing includes the meal, materials for cocktail class, beer and wine, labor and space. No additional taxes or gratuities are applied. Guests have the space for up to three hours. Students cook and mix cocktails for about 1½ hours and the remaining time is for eating and socializing. Our goal is to emulate the warmth and brightness of our Chelsea location through our food, service, and design to other spaces in New York City. We collaborate with our guests as a creative partner to celebrate milestones, launch new projects they ve worked hard to build, or simply gather to cook and eat. We work with you on each step of your process of creating your event from venue and food to programming and design. Our granola is known be addictive. Our pancake mix has been called the best.
