5 Rules 1. Exhibitors to live in, or be members of an organisation based in, Lewannick Parish and all entries must be the property of the exhibitor. 2. In the flower and vegetable sections the entries must have been grown in the exhibitors own garden 3. NO entry fees and NO cash prizes for adults. Children s prizes are 1st (50p), 2nd (30p), and 3rd (20p). 4. The judges decision is final, and the right to withhold any award is reserved. 5. NO exhibit is to be staged unless an entry is made on the official entry form and is handed in by midday Thursday 17th August. Can be left at the P.O. 6. Only one entry by an exhibitor to be staged in a class. 7. NO two (2) exhibitors to join their entries together. 8. NO entries to be removed before 3:15 pm. 9. Exhibits to be staged between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Only exhibitors to be allowed in the hall. 10. Judging will commence at 11:00 am when the hall will be cleared except for the judges. 11. NO professionals to exhibit the products of their trade. 12. Entrants in the children s section must be under fourteen (14) years of age on the date of the show 13. The committee will NOT be held responsible for any loss, damage to, or wrongly staged exhibits. 14. Presentation of prizes There will also be a prize draw. Refreshments will be available. Bring & Buy Stall There will be a bring and buy stall at the show. If you have any surplus home produce such as plants, cakes, pasties, jams, eggs, cut flowers, or any kind of home produce please bring it along and donate to this stall. Every penny raised on this stall goes towards the upkeep and running of the village hall. Trophies A cup is awarded for the highest number of points in each section. Two cups are awarded in the children s section, and a trophy for the best exhibit in this section has been kindly donated by The Trevadlock Hall Park Residents Association. Two cups have been donated by The Trevadlock Hall Park Residents Association, which are awarded to the best fuchsia in a pot, and the best geranium in a pot. The Tom Shovell Cup is awarded for the best exhibit in the show. Useful item made from re-cycled material 59. A tye dyed polo shirt 60. Any other handicraft Method 1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas mk 4. Butter 1 large loaf tin. 2. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, poppy seeds, bicarb and lemon zest. Combine the remaining ingredients; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. 3. Spoon into prepared tin and bake for minutes or until a skewer inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from tins to wire racks. 4. For a glaze...combine 8 tablespoons icing sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest. Drizzle over the warm cake. 9
