3 Host Your Next Birthday Party at The Zoo! Party Includes Zoo admission for the birthday child (one per party), party room for two hours and standard set up of tables and chairs. To ensure the health and wellbeing of the animals, zoo staff may remove them at any time. Due to food safety guidelines, no active food or beverage service will take place during animal experiences. If a scheduled experience is canceled, you will not be charged. 7

8 Zoo Experience About us A community treasure since 1888, the Oregon Zoo provides exceptional experiences to more than a million visitors a year to inspire them to create a better future for wildlife. The zoo participates in on-the-ground efforts to save endangered and threatened species, including California condors, Oregon spotted frogs and western pond turtles. Committed to conservation, the zoo sources products from local, sustainable vendors whenever possible. All private events hosted at the zoo support the zoo s education, conservation and animal welfare initiatives. Hours Sept. 5, 2017 May 25, :30 am 4 pm May 26, 2018 Sept. 3, :30 am 6 pm Grounds remain open one hour after closing. Guests attending an event within the zoo may remain through the scheduled event end. Zoo grounds become a limited experience after regular hours. 9 Schedule Your Party Contact Oregon Zoo Catering at oregonzoo.org or for more information or to schedule. A minimum of two weeks notice is required. The base package price is due at time of reservation and is non-refundable. Final headcount is due five days prior to the date of the party. Food and beverage orders must be confirmed one week prior to the party date. The final invoice shall include a credit for all rental deposits and advance payments against the actual costs, fees and charges for the event, including all food, beverage and other event related charges. Payment is due thirty (30) days from the date of the billing. Member package reflects a 10% discount on the room rental portion of the birthday party package. Party guests who are Oregon Zoo Members may use their membership to enter the zoo at no cost. Food and Beverage You may pre-order food and beverage from Oregon Zoo Catering, or purchase food at the Cascade Grill (adjacent to the party room) the day of the party. No outside food or beverage is allowed. Birthday cake or cupcakes from a commercial bakery may be brought in with prior approval from your party coordinator. Remember to bring all plates, service ware and cake cutting implements. Times The package includes access to the Sunset Room for two hours. Access to the room is allowed 30 minutes before the party start time. Party times are not extended for late arrives. Please end your party promptly. Additional party time is $50.00 per half hour, subject to availability. Decorations You are welcome to bring your own table decorations. For the health and safety of our animals and guests, Styrofoam products, straws, glitter, confetti and piñatas are not allowed. Please do not tape or tack on walls, windows or sills. Decorations should be removed promptly at the end of the party. Storing and transporting items The zoo does not have a space to store birthday cakes, decorations or other items before or after your party. You may bring your own cart or wagon to transport items. Strollers are also available for rent at the Gift Shop in the zoo s entry plaza. Getting to The Party The easiest access to the zoo is on TriMet MAX light rail. The Washington Park Station is only 50 yards from the entrance to the zoo. For more information on planning your transportation, please visit the zoo s website. You and your guests may enter at the zoo s main entrance. Zoo admission is not required for access to the party room. A member of the zoo s catering team will meet you at the party room 30 minutes before your party is scheduled to begin. Be sure to allow plenty of time for parking. We host birthday parties rain or shine, but please dress for the weather! 16 17
