3 Introduction The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services-Division of Plant Industry (FDACS- DPI) Cooperative Agriculture Pest Survey (CAPS) program staff was engaged in many program activities including data entry, survey, public outreach, training and program development. Negative survey data entry in progress, ID ongoing. *2 LBAM: 683 records represent 750 negative moths (171 specimens submitted for analysis) from 117 traps in 29 counties (Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Columbia, De Soto, Duval, Escambia, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lee, Leon, Manatee, Marion, Miami-Dade, Orange, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, St. Lucie, Volusia). *3 SWPM/Bark Beetle: No records were uploaded this quarter, however survey trapping was ongoing in 33 traps in 11 counties (Bay, Brevard, Broward, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Nassau, Orange, Palm Beach) during this quarter, resulting in no new records or status change so negative data not input into NAPIS. All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species (totals are: 2384 specimens screened, 989 specimens identified). Negative survey data entry in progress, ID ongoing. *4 LW (part of RBAB Survey): No records were uploaded this quarter, however survey trapping was ongoing in 10 counties (Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Highland, Lee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Orange, Palm Beach) during this period (see Redbay ambrosia beetle (RBAB) survey numbers below). For Miami-Dade County only, an intensive delimiting and trapping effort of about 100 traps that was initiated in March 2010 was scaled down to 51 traps and resulted in a total of 312 samples screened (approximately 3120 specimens) by the end of this Quarter. As of June 30, 2010, no additional X. glabratus beetles were found. *5 SWPM/Sirex: No records were uploaded this quarter, however survey trapping was ongoing in 33 traps in 11 counties (Bay, Brevard, Broward, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Nassau, Orange, Palm Beach) during 9

10 this quarter, resulting in no new records or status change so negative data not input into NAPIS. All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species (see notes for *3 above - SWPM/Bark Beetle - for screening information). *6 RCW: 107 records represent 173 negative moth samples from 21 traps, in 5 counties (DeSoto, Lake, Miami-Dade, Orange, Osceola) during April-May-June All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species. *7 RBAB: No records were uploaded this quarter, however survey trapping was ongoing in 87 traps (51 of the 87 are in Miami-Dade county) in 10 counties (Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Highland, Lee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Orange, Palm Beach) during this quarter. All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species X. glabratus (totals for this quarter for all counties excluding Miami-Dade are: 1306 specimens screened, 365 specimens identified), and have resulted in 2-USA, 1-NCR and 1-NHR this quarter, only one of which was considered a pest and was entered in NAPIS. Negative survey data entry is in progress, ID ongoing. *8 PCN: No records were uploaded to NAPIS this quarter, however surveys were done on June 9-10, 2010 totaling 62 samples from 2100 acres in St. Johns County. Lab ID s and results are in progress. *9 SGS: 298 records represent 324 moths from 41 bucket traps for the target Helicoverpa armigera in 12 counties (Calhoun, Columbia, Escambia, Gadsden, Hardee, Hernando, Jackson, Okaloosa, Pasco, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sumner), covering the period thru Final recording of entries from this survey for Spodoptera litura, UG99 wheat rust, Nysius huttoni, and Cernuella virgata are in progress. All screenings and ID's are completed and are negative for all of the target species.
