3 Introduction The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services-Division of Plant Industry (FDACS- DPI) Cooperative Agriculture Pest Survey (CAPS) program staff was engaged in many program activities including data entry, survey, public outreach, training and program development. All 54 traps were placed in ash trees. Negative survey data entry is in progress, and all screenings and ID's to date are negative for EAB. *2 DF: 0 records were uploaded during January through June 2014, and represent 0 specimens from 3 traps in 2 counties (Lake, Osceola), from ongoing surveys during Identifications were performed by USDA-PPQ Entomologist Identifier Julieta Brambila. Positive and negative survey data entry is still in progress, and ID is ongoing. *3 LBAM: 1,131 records were uploaded during January through June 2014, and represent 75 negative moth specimens submitted for analysis from 110 traps at 63 sites in 29 counties (Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Columbia, DeSoto, Duval, Escambia, Hardee, Hernando, Highland, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lee, Leon, Manatee, Marion, Miami-Dade, Orange, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, St. Lucie, Volusia). Lab ID of survey samples is ongoing and data entry is in progress. All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species. *4 SWPM/Bark Beetle: 6,419 records were uploaded during January through June 2014, representing 40,148 negative insects submitted for analysis from 89 traps at 62 sites in 18 counties (Alachua, Bay, Brevard, Broward, Collier, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Nassau, Okaloosa, Orange, Palm Beach, Seminole, St Lucie, Sumter, Volusia). All samples were screened by CAPS Lab Technician Kate Okins, resulting in 12 new records: 6-NCR which were considered pests and were entered in NAPIS; 3-NCR which were not considered pests and were not entered in NAPIS; and 1-NSR and 2-NCR which are not yet entered in NAPIS. All results were negative for the 6 target species Hylurgops, Hylurgus, Monochamus, Tomicus destruens, Trypodendron, Xylosandrus (excluding counts for EAB, X. glabratus, GSOB, and Sirex, which are listed separately). Lab ID of survey samples is ongoing and data entry is in progress. All screenings and ID's to date are also negative for the 6 target species. *5 LW (part of DPI-LW & DPI-RBAB Survey): Seven (7) records were uploaded during January through June 2014, and both visual surveys for the disease and trapping surveys for the beetle were ongoing during this period. Seven (7) New County Records (NCR) were reported for LW disease during this period (Lee, Collier, Jefferson, Madison, Leon, Monroe, Lafayette). DPI-Plant Pathology reported 29 LW positives out of a total of 62 samples submitted from 18 counties (Bay, Brevard, Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Leon, Madison, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Palm Beach, Pasco, Putnam, St Lucie). The intensive trapping effort begun in March 2010 continues and was tracked by DPI personnel with bi-weekly checks of 50 traps in Miami-Dade County during this period. As of June 30, 2014, 1,188-X. glabratus beetles have been found in Miami-Dade County at 17 different locations, and at least 165-trees (86-swamp bay, 19-redbay, 60 avocado) have been confirmed positive for laurel wilt disease (also see *8 RBAB below). *6 SWPM/Sirex: 431 records were uploaded during January through June 2014, representing 908 negative insects submitted for analysis from from 18 traps at 18 sites in 11 counties (Bay, Brevard, Broward, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Manatee, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, St Lucie, Volusia), and screened by CAPS Lab Technician Kate Okins. All results were negative for Sirex noctilio. Lab ID of survey samples is ongoing and data entry is in progress. All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species. *7 GALS (part of CottCS (*28) below): 148 records were uploaded to NAPIS (see Table 4d below) during January through June 2014, from visual surveys at 14 locations at 14 sites in 8 counties (Alachua, Columbia, Gadsden, Hamilton, Holmes, 9

10 Jackson, Nassau, Suwannee). Lab ID of survey samples is ongoing and data entry is in progress. All screenings and ID's to date are negative for the target species. *8 RBAB: Two (2) records were uploaded to NAPIS during January through June 2014, representing 2 New County Records (Suwannee and Hamilton Counties) reported for RBAB during this period. The total of all RBAB screenings and ID's to date is 16,684 of which 1,188 were positive and 15,496 were negative. Field survey and lab ID of survey samples is ongoing and data entry is in progress. *9 PCN: 4590 records representing 175,730 specimens were uploaded to NAPIS during January through June 2014, from DPI nematode surveys which occurred during 2012 in 57 counties. Lab ID of survey samples is ongoing and data entry is in progress.
