2 The Bull is situated in the heart of the Barton in the Clay village, which lies at the foot of the northern slope of the Barton Hills. Built in 1694, the building is over 300 years old, however, the village itself can be found in the Domesday Survey of The Bull Pub is prominently positioned in the centre of this popular Bedfordshire village, which is perfectly located in the rolling countryside, the gateway to Barton Hills national nature reserve, and the beautiful Sharpenhoe Clappers. The Bull, a stunning period property, has been brought back to life and up to date without losing its heritage. Three local businessmen and friends took ownership in February The bustling bar, full of wooden beams and real English character, provides a haven to unwind, entertain and do business. Proud to be at the centre of the Barton-le-Clay village community, The Bull provides a warm, welcoming environment for all of the family to enjoy. We only use local producers and suppliers for our menu ingredients; to ensure that all the food we serve is fresh and flavoursome. In addition we pride ourselves in being a local business that supports the local economy: Our succulent meat is supplied by Deacons, a local family butcher, our fresh fruit and vegetables comes from Nigel Mann, another local source, and our high quality artisan cheeses come from the perfectly named Wobbly Bottom Farm. We provide the perfect opportunity to kick back and relax. You re always welcome to pop in for a coffee, a quick drink, a bar snack or an evening meal. For those special occasions and celebrations we have our stunning function room available. To fully enjoy the atmosphere you can stay overnight in our well-appointed, comfortable bedrooms. Just off the A6, The Bull is 12 minutes away from both junction 11A and 12 of the M1, 15 minutes north from the centre of Luton, 20 minutes from London Luton Airport and 30 minutes south of Bedford.
