Meridian Foods Ltd. will award special prizes to the highest number of points in each section. SP3. A RWAS Gold Medal Certificate will be awarded to the exhibitor with the highest number of points in the Home Made Wine Classes. SP4. The Betty Bayliss Memorial Shield will be awarded to the best exhibit in the Home Made Wines and Drinks Section. SP5. The Mrs & Mrs David Spencer Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the exhibitor gaining the highest number of points in the Junior classes - Produce section. SP6. Bydd gwobrau ariannol, os yn bosibl, yn cael eu talu ymhen 28 diwrnod gweithiol o'r Sioe (heblaw mewn achosion o brotest). 13. Cwpanau a Thlysau Her NODWCH OS GWELWCH YN DDA:- Bydd y Cwpanau a'r Tlysau Her yn cael eu cadw'n barhaol mewn Ystafell Dlysau bwrpasol a leolir yn Neuadd Clwyd Morgannwg. Bydd enillydd pob Cwpan a Thlws Her yn derbyn Memento CAFC Swyddogol fel rhywbeth bach i gofio, bydd eu henw'n cael ei engrafu ar y Cwpanau a'r Tlysau Her hefyd. 14. Nodwch ar yr amlen yn cynnwys eich ffurflen gais "CYNNYRCH" os gwelwch yn dda. 15. Ni ddychwelir yr un arddangosyn i'r arddangoswr heb "Amlen Arddangoswr Gwyn". 16. Caiff arddangoswyr ddefnyddio platiau tsieina ar yr amod nad oes modd eu hadnabod. 7
11 TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Entries must be made on the official entry form and reach Mrs Bethan Davies no later than 20 May 2013 accompanied by the correct entry fee. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. 2. Exhibits must be staged between 2.00p.m. and 6.45p.m. on Sunday 21 July or between 7.00a.m. and 8.00a.m. on Monday 22 July These times will be confirmed in your letter to exhibitors, which must be checked prior to your arrival. 3. No responsibility will be accepted by the Society for loss or damage to exhibits or any part thereof, during the Show. The Society will not be responsible for the loss of any item in transit to, or from the Show. 4. All exhibits must remain on display for the four days of the Show and must be collected between 5.30p.m. and 7.00p.m. on Thursday 25 July Any exhibit left in the Hall after 7.00 p.m. on the last evening will be the responsibility of the exhibitor. 5. Exhibitors are entitled to enter one entry only per class. Prizes will be awarded or withheld at the discretion of the judges whose decision is final. 6. Exhibitors whose entrance fees exceed will receive a one day ticket for admission to the Show. Making up the entrance fee to by donation is strictly not allowed. All entry fees are inclusive of VAT. 7. The section will be closed for judging between 8.00a.m. and 12.30p.m. on the first day. 8. All exhibits must have been made by the exhibitor. 9. Exhibits not brought forward for judging will be monitored and exhibitors maybe asked to return their admission ticket if they do not submit their entries. 10. Badly deteriorated food will be discarded at the discretion of the stewards concerned. 11. Exhibitors must firmly attach their exhibitor number cards or labels to all exhibits before bringing them to the Show. 12. Protests. Any protest must be made in writing and handed in to the Chief Sectional Steward within two hours of judging, together with a deposit of which will be returned if the protest is upheld. Prize money will if possible be paid within 28 working days of the Show (except in cases of protest). 13. Challenge Cups and Trophies PLEASE NOTE:- The Challenge Cups and Trophies are permanently housed in a purpose made Trophy Room situated in the Clwyd Glamorgan Hall. The winner of each Challenge Cup and Trophy will be awarded an Official RWAS Memento as a keepsake, their name will also be engraved on the Challenge Cups and Trophies. 14. Please mark the envelope enclosing your entry form 'PRODUCE'. 15. No exhibit will be returned to exhibitor without White Exhibitor Envelope". 16. Exhibitors may use china plates providing that they are unidentifiable. 8
12 AMODAU ARBENNIG / SPECIAL CONDITIONS Decorative and Confectionery Novice Class 17. Applies to exhibitors who have not previously won a prize in the Decorative and Confectionery Section at the Royal Welsh Show. Cwpwrdd Cynnyrch / Produce Larder 18. All jars and containers to be of clear glass. 19. Judges will open containers as necessary. Gwin Cartref / Homemade Wine 20. The official label should be the only one used and it should be placed one inch from the bottom of the bottle. 21. Labels should be completed as follows: Enter class number. State name and date of wine under class description. Name and address should be in block letters followed by the exhibitor s number. The blue slip should then be placed over the name and address. This will be removed by the steward after judging. 22. Wines and Spirits should be exhibited using flanged stoppers with white tops. 23. Wines and spirits must be exhibited in wine bottles made of clear, or only slightly-tinted glass, without distinguishing or commercial marks. Strongly-tinted glass bottles may be penalised. 24. Class 80 Please ensure you NAME and state whether DRY, MEDIUM or SWEET on each individual bottle. 9

15 WOMEN S INSTITUTE CLASS This is a Wales Federation Competition for which a Perpetual Rose Bowl presented by the Wales Committee, is offered to the winning Federation. The Trophy will be presented on Thursday 26 July at a time to be stated in the Day Programme. Table covering and apron front in cream will be provided. The combined exhibit shall consist of 6 items to depict the theme (wine may not be included). 17 WOMEN S INSTITUTE CLASS RULES 1. Judges may penalise any entry if the base exceeds the measurements and if any items are staged outside the base. 2. No trade bottles to be used. 3. Food and craft items must be removable for judging. 4. Food items should only include items suitable for judging cold. 5. Craft items should not have been entered at a previous Rose Bowl Competition. 6. Judging will be in accordance with the current NFWI Home Economics Handbook On With The Show. 7. Exhibit wording may be in either Welsh or English or any combination of the two. Bilingual marking sheets will be available. Competitors can request bilingual comments but this must be done in advance. 8. The judges decision is final. Any protest must be made in writing, signed and handed to the Senior Steward within two hours of the judging together with a deposit of 25 which will be returned if the protest is upheld. 9. No responsibility will be accepted by the Society for loss of or damage done to exhibits or any part thereof, during or after the exhibition nor will the Society be responsible for the loss of any item in transit to, from, or in the Showground. 10. No more than three members will be allowed to stage at any one time. 11. Competitors will be provided with a side table during the setting up period.
