3 Denver Union Station Tour (3) Come tour the Denver Union Station and learn about the history, art, transportation, restaurants, retail space and the Crawford Hotels luxury guest rooms. Tour will last one hour and is followed by a complimentary Union Station Kolsch, house red wine or white wine or non-alcoholic beverage at the Terminal Bar. Fee includes transportation, escort and tour. We will stop for lunch on our way home. All proceeds benefit the Greeley/Weld Senior Foundation which is a group of volunteers who support seniors and senior centers in Weld County by raising funds for worthy projects, activities and annual grants to senior centers. 5 Introduction to the iphone and ipad - Part 1 This beginner/entry level course will help you better understand the key functions of your Apple mobile device including basic layout/home screen buttons, using apps, intro to basic communications (phone, contacts, , texting, Facetime), basic Internet browsing using Safari, control center and settings. Class is demonstration but bring your device to follow along and practice. A handout will be provided. Min: 4 participants. In a single, easy, and enjoyable session, you ll complete a will, living will, medical power of attorney, financial power of attorney, and organ donor card, all with the help of licensed attorney, Rebecca L. 6 Page 6 Programs Blood Pressure Checks The third Wednesday of the month at 11:45 am to keep up on your heart stats taken by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT s). Senior Center Wednesday Lunches Join us for a nutritious home cooked meal every Wednesday at noon at the Senior Center. Please register by 11 am on Tuesday. Menu located on back of newsletter. Fees: $7 SCM, $8 D, $10 ND Weld County Nutrition Lunch This program provides lunches every Tuesday and Thursday at 12pm at the Rec Center. Registration is required by 11am the day before the lunch. To register call Suggested donation of $4 for 60+, Fee of $12 for 59 and younger. Weld Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry 2nd Wednesday 9-10:30 am Frederick Way, Frederick, st & 4th Thursday 10 am 701 Carbondale, Dacono, G.I. Coffee Hour Stop by the Active Adult/Senior Center every Friday at 9:30 am and catch up with other veterans. Don t be surprised if you stay more than an hour. Lunch with a Librarian A Librarian from the High Plains Library District visits on the third Wednesday of the month at 11 am to issue library cards, check out books/dvds, and answer questions. VNA Medical Foot Care Clinic Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) does foot care, health checks, and blood pressure checks. Fee is $35 ($45 for first visit of new patients) pay day of. Kaiser covered with pre-approval. Call for an appointment on the third Monday of every month. Dominoes Everyone s welcome to play dominoes with us. We ll give a refresher and have tons of fun! Wednesday s after lunch around 1pm. Skip-Bo Come learn how to play Skip-Bo, a card game, we ll show you how! Wednesday's after lunch around 1pm. Craft Group Join our weekly Craft Group every Tuesday from 1-4 pm to sew, knit, and work on other crafts. Everyone welcome, we will show you how to do it! Coloring Group Bring an adult coloring book and your colors and join the group for coloring and conversation every Thursday at 1 pm Movie Monday s Come enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the Senior Center. We will have fresh popcorn and enjoy a movie. We are getting newer releases, so come down and grab a cozy seat. Every Monday at 1 pm.

7 Healthy Hearts Walking Program January 16-March 20 Tuesday s & Thursday s 9 am 10 am Join us at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center for the Healthy Hearts Walking Program. No registration required. We will warm-up, stretch, and walk on the track. A party is held at the end of the session to celebrate our great success! *Senior Center Members may now use the track anytime the Rec is open for $1* Tai Chi Join us for Tai Chi, slow moving poses and low impact exercises that helps build balance, a healthy spirit, mind and body with Robb every Thursday at 10:30am at the Senior Center. Exercise Page 7 SilverSneakers Fitness & New Member Orientation Join us for a guided tour through CVPRD to learn how to use the cardio and equipment for a complete total body workout. Thursday, February 1 at 1 pm at the Rec Center. Please register ahead of time. SilverSneakers Coffee & Juice Bar Make a few new friends and orient yourself with the Carbon Valley Recreation Center as you rejuvenate yourself. Existing and new SilverSneakers participants are welcome. Friendly conversation, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, and pastries await you.
