1 Puzzle PrimroseRetirement.com November rd Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401, (605) A Note from the Executive Director Michelle Hagan There are only four kinds of people in the world. Those who have been caregivers. Those who are currently caregivers. Those who will be caregivers, and those who will need a caregiver. Rosalyn Carter November is National Family Caregivers Month. It is also the month of Thanksgiving. These two go hand and hand. For all of the caregivers in the community please know what a blessing you are to those you care for. They may not always be able to tell you themselves or even show you this, but know you are appreciated. I am thankful on a daily basis for the wonderful caregivers sharing their love, skills and smiles. Whether you choose this path or if it chose you, there is always support available. From the bottom of my heart and all the hearts at Primrose may you be extra blessed this holiday season and all the year through! Thank you all and have a blessed November! I reckon, he said, with a twinkle in his eye, it is because most nights I went to bed and slept when I should have sat up and worried. Dorothea Kent
2 Resident Spotlight Meet Peggy, born in Conde but raised on a farm near Stratford; Peggy loved any chance to help out on the farm and be with the animals. After she finished high school in Brentford, she went on to Cosmetology School here in Aberdeen at Stewart s. Peggy stayed busy while having a salon in her own home. She made many friends during her career as a hair stylist and states she just loves people! Together with her husband Larry, they have four wonderful children and many grandchildren. Peggy says her family is the biggest blessing in her life and she loves to talk about them whenever she gets a chance! For fun, Peggy loves to be doing anything outdoors, taking pictures or just being with friends and family. She enjoys being at Primrose and building new friendships with the workers and residents alike! On Friday, September 28th a small but mighty group representing Primrose walked in honor and in memory of those affected by the disease of Alzheimer's. Primrose hosted several fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for research and support for our South Dakota Alzheimer's Association. In total, $22, was collected for the Aberdeen walk. Primrose Aberdeen was the winning team raising $12, Event Highlight Employee Spotlight Hannah joined our Primrose team in December 2017 as a Medication Aide at Primrose Place. She hails from Washington State and brings to the table 20 years experience. Hannah has 3 children; Cailin, 19, Emily, 17, and Marquis, 10. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys exploring and going on adventures, spending time with her children, traveling back home to see family and hiking while back in Washington state. During her time at Primrose Place, Hannah has grown fond of the residents stating, they are pretty great! We welcome Hannah and enjoy having her a part of the Primrose family!
