12 room descriptions the grand ballroom the grand ballroom is perfect for the larger wedding being able to accommodate up to 450 guests with room for a large dance floor and stage. the six metre high ceiling can feature dramatic colour and lighting effects, which will enhance the mood of the evening. queens ballroom the Queens Ballroom is Hilton Brisbane s most contemporary venue This room is ideal for a modern wedding or someone wanting something a little different in the heart of the city. the arched windows allow the room to be lit with natural light and with views over queen street mall, this venue has a fantastic atmosphere without a lot of additional theming required. tropicana pool deck the tropicana pool deck is the perfect place for a more informal wedding for up to 100 guests. the deck benefits from the tropical pool area setting whilst enclosed with glass and sheltered by roofing.

15 frequently asked questions floral arrangements hilton brisbane can recommend experienced and reliable florists that will suit your budget and personal tastes. please ask your wedding coordinator for contact details. confirmation of booking bookings will not be confirmed unless the requested deposit is received. the management of the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking and allocate the venue to another client if the deposit is not received at the due date. banquet room booking policy the unexpected sometimes happens; we retain the right to hold your function in a space comparable to the one originally chosen. final details information regarding room set-up, menu and audiovisual equipment is required twenty-one (21) days prior to the function. number of guests needs to be confirmed two (2) working days prior to the event, so we can cater to their needs. this is the minimum number of guests we will cater and charge you for, with the exception of additional arrivals. payment full payment of your function is due two (2) working days prior to the start of your function unless other arrangements have been made. please note, if payment is via company or personal cheque, we require receipt of the cheque five (5) working days prior to the commencement of your wedding.

16 frequently asked questions cancellation policy the hotel would share your disappointment if your booking were to be cancelled. the following conditions apply to cancelled bookings: notice of more than 30 days if your function is not held in the ballroom, your deposit will be refunded in full. if your function is held in the ballroom, your deposit will be refunded if space is re-sold. notice between 30-3 days deposit is forfeited notice of 2 days and less deposit is forfeited as well as full payment of all food and audiovisual charges. GST & other taxes a goods or services tax includes, but is not limited to, a value added tax, consumption tax, betterment levy, accommodation tax, tourist tax, gross receipts tax or admission tax. All prices quoted are inclusive of new GST. please note deposits are not subject to GST as per ruling GSTD 2000/1 of the australian taxation office.

17 frequently asked questions price variation while we endeavour to maintain all prices as printed, in order to meet rising costs, they may be subject of increase at management s discretion. staff levy & surcharges due to increased labour costs on weekends there is a surcharge applicable of $5.00 per guest on sundays and public holidays. in the event of your function extending past midnight a labour surcharge of $10.00 per staff member per hour will apply. cleaning charge of $80.00 applies if confetti is used within the hotel. equipment loss & damage the hotel is extremely careful when looking after its guests and their belongings. unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for the damage or loss of items before, during or after a function and suggest that insurance cover be arranged for valuable items.
