1 INFORMATION ENTERTAIN Auscarts is a state of the art Karting entertainment complex, minutes from the heart of Melbourne s CBD. Auscarts is an ideal venue for Corporate Functions, Team Building, Product Launches, Conferences and Birthdays. The centre can host a variety of events, 7 days a week. Auscarts is the perfect venue to entertain business clients, reward staff and raise team morale. CORPORATE Looking for a unique venue for an upcoming Conference, Function or Party? Auscarts has function rooms available for your special event. Function rooms can be set up according to your requirements. The open lounge area is a great place to relax after racing, with a café. Special Group Race Sessions have been developed for competitive Karting. You will have great memories and rewards to show for it. The centre can be booked exclusively or rooms individually. Catering options range from Gourmet BBQ s to formal Afternoon Teas INDOOR RACING Test your sensory threshold and advance your driving skills at speeds of up to 60km/hour. The weather free track, open 7 days a week, makes it possible to plan your Karting experience without limitations. Race statistics are recorded and displayed on the scoreboard during races. Each person receives a print out of this data, including best lap time. To ensure safety and hygiene, helmets of correct size and hair nets are provided. An alcohol breath tester is also available to ensure drivers are below.05. The track has safety monitors, managers and lights to control traffic for various hazards. A video safety briefing is presented before racing. A number of group race types have been pre-programmed. These are designed for differing group numbers. Of course you can always book an Arrive and Drive session. Patrons Need to be a Minimum of 13 years of age and 5ft tall to race. Challenge the clock and your friends, fly around the track at top speed, with unparalleled safety and personal control. Emulate formula one heroes in the comfort of the indoor track. Our race sessions have been developed for groups of various sizes. These are listed in the table to the right. For smaller groups and individual Karting, just book Arrive and Drive. Our state of the art timing system records each and every lap time and is available after racing as a souvenir of your experience. 4 CATERING MENU 1 CATERING Auscarts extensive menus cater for large and small groups. Chefs and service staff are available on request. Please book early, as arrangements must be made ideally two weeks in advance. Please read catering terms and conditions. CATERING TERMS & CONDITIONS Confirmation of Catering: To ensure catering can be supplied, orders should be placed two weeks prior to your event. Final numbers and special requirements are required one week prior to your event. Service staff: Service staff are available upon request. In general when service staff are required, the earlier they are booked, the more likely we are able to fulfil your request. Bar Staff: $45 p/h, minimum 3 hours. Service/Assistant: $45 p/h minimum 3 hours. Minimum is 20 guests where this is compulsory. Minimum numbers: All menus require a confirmation of person minimum (except platters, dips and pizzas). For bookings with numbers below 20 people, a 10% surcharge per person applies. Weekend Functions: All quoted prices are for weekday functions. For functions on a weekend add 10% per person. Special Dietary Needs: All special dietary requirements need to be made known at least 72 hours prior to your function. We are able to cater for all dietary requirements provided we receive sufficient notice. 9 POLICIES POLICY PARKING Off site parking is available. AGE REQUIREMENT Patrons need to be 13 years of age and over and five feet-3 inches tall. SUGGESTED ATTIRE Comfortable clothing. It is advisable to wear flat closed-toe shoes. Patrons will not be allowed to drive in sandals or high heels. Helmets and hair nets are provided. SUGGESTED ARRIVAL TIME To enjoy the full value of your racing experience, we suggest that you arrive 30 minutes prior to the commencement of your event. This allows time to complete the required documents and receive a safety briefing and instruction. As you and your group are our number one priority, it is important that we provide you with the maximum amount of time on the circuit. Arriving late will unfortunately limit this, lessening the total experience. Please plan your event carefully as all races are completed to schedule. DEPOSIT POLICY If placing a booking a set deposit of 25% will be required within 48 hours of placing a reservation. If booking catering, a set deposit of 50% is due within 48hours of placing a reservation Due to the extreme popularity of the venue, we reserve the right to accept other bookings if the deposit has not been paid within this time. Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable to other dates. If you Require a 30 Day Account you will need to contact Your Events Co-coordinator to get approved. PAYMENT POLICY Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, AMEX and Company Cheque with identification will be accepted. Personal Cheques are only accepted for deposits. Payment is due on the race night before the commencement of racing. It is expected that the race organizer present to the front counter to organize payment. Final numbers are required within 5 days of the event. Payment will be based on numbers provided in the final confirmation. Each Race Packages has minimum numbers clearly stated therefore please be advised that if you do not meet the minimum numbers and have less you will still be charged for the minimum you have been quoted for. CANCELLATIONS All cancellations must be notified in writing. Full payment will be incurred if not received within 7 days of the race date. PRIVACY POLICY Auscarts follows National Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act (2001), to secure any personal information. MEMBERSHIP Karters must be members to race at Auscarts. There is a $5 annual membership fee. Membership is complimentary for those competing in a race package. ALCOHOL POLICY Your blood alcohol level must be below.05. Drivers suspected of being above.05 will be asked for a breath test to determine their fitness to drive. A free breathalising machine is available to test your BAC. If you are unsure, please use it. STANDARDS Auscarts has met the strictest Government Health and Safety standards and certified track. The track is also monitored and marshaled during use. The track and karts are checked and maintained daily for hazards and wear. The karts meet the strictest safety levels of the Australian Standards. The track has been engineered and the Barrier Certified. Please Ask your event Co-coordinator if you require the Risk Assessment and Public Liability Document. CATERING POLICY Please see the Catering Terms & Conditions on the last Catering Menu Sheet. BRIEFING Before Karting every driver will be briefed on use of the kart and track and track rules. GEAR Before racing, find a helmet of correct fit and secured. Get help to fit this if you need it. Put a hair net on, underneath the helmet to maintain hygiene. When in the kart do up the harness, and please wait for the instruction to go. DURING KARTING Karts can be remotely controlled and are electronically monitored for safety on the track.
