2 Functions at The Metropolitan Hotel Function Terms and Conditions The Metropolitan Hotel caters for Weddings, Anniversaries, Work Functions, Christmas Parties, Christenings, Family Functions, Birthdays and plenty more. Credit card imprint will be required for any 21st or 18th birthday celebrations. This is for security purposes, should any damages occur during these functions. If you have any queries regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us. Tentative booking: The Metropolitan Hotel will only hold a tentative booking for a maximum of ten days. The confirmation of your booking will be recognised once a signed booking form and a deposit has been received by the hotel. Deposits and Room Hire: Room hire charge is determined on your function needs and final numbers. The actual room hire charge is negotiable at the time of booking and confirmed in writing where possible. Charges are as follows: Under 70 people $150 Over 70 people: No hire fee Please note if there is a dramatic decrease in numbers from the original attendance estimation, additional hire charges may apply. Functions held on public holidays will incur a flat hire fee of $150. Numbers will not affect this hire charge on a public holiday. Once a booking is made, the room hire deposit of $200 for the function must be paid to secure the function date and area. Failure to do so may result in another booking being secured for your preferred date. This fee is considered a deposit to confirm your booking, and will be deducted from your total function cost. Payments All payments must be made through cash, eftpos, or credit card (Amex and Diners are accepted). We do not, unfortunately, accept cheques. Full payment for functions must be made no later than ten days prior to the function date. If payment is not made within this time, the date and area will become available to hire again. Choosing your Menu and Final Numbers: To ensure all your needs are met, we require confirmation of your menu selection ten days prior to your function date. This ensures our chef is able to order all the necessary produce to put your desired menu together. If you would like to alter the menu or have any special requests, please do not hesitate to contact us. Confirmation of final number of guests is required ten days prior to the function date. Function costs will be based on the final numbers given at this time. There are no refunds or waived fees for any guest not present on the day. Beverages and Liquor: Hosts may choose to have a bar tab or allow guests to pay for their drinks individually. A pre-paid tab amount can be organised with restrictions on which drinks can be purchased. This amount can also be increased during the function as needed. House policy prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages on premises, other than those supplied by The Metropolitan Hotel. All drinks supplied must be consumed on premises. The Metropolitan Hotel staff are all trained in Responsible Service of Alcohol and will follow through on any breach of code or policy. Intoxication: The Metropolitan Hotel practices Responsible Service of Alcohol in accordance with Queensland licensing laws and enforced responsible drinking practices. Unduly intoxicated guests will not be permitted on premise by law and will be asked to leave. Minors: Minors must be under direct supervision whilst on the premises. In accordance with Licensing laws, the service and supply of alcohol to minors will not be tolerated. Those found breaking the law will be asked to leave with no exceptions. Damages: Any damage which occurs on the premises during your function, either accidental or incidental, must be paid for. Cancellations: The Room Hire Fee is non-refundable. However it is transferable to another suitable date, should you give a minimum of three weeks notice. Should you wish to cancel your function ten days or less prior to your function date, you will be required to pay the full function cost, less any bar tab. Surcharge: A Surcharge of 10% will apply to all meals on any public holiday.

White Linen Table Cloths $6 per table cloth Microphone $20 Data Projector & Screen (Use USB presentation) $30 (files can only be jpg not powerpoint) Colour Co-ordinated Napkins $30 for every 50 people (limit 2 colours) Balloon Bundle of 5 $10 per bundle (limit 2 colours) Your choice of colour scheme and balloon theme. Supply your own Balloons, we Inflate using Helium $0.30 per balloon Coffee and Tea Station Free of charge Please note: All cutlery, crockery and glassware required for your function is supplied at no additional cost. For any special requests or specialised decor, please discuss your requirements with our Function Manager. Any additional requirements will be charged accordingly. Should you be decorating the room you will be allowed access anytime after 3pm for evening functions and anytime from 10am for lunch functions.
